Part5; Trouble Starting.

The school day had seemed to of gone faster then yesterday today, before I knew it I was in my last class of the day..Art. As I walked in my eyes couldn't help but met the rude 'Kai' guy I had bumped into yesterday, he wasn't here last time, was he?.
"Everyone find a partner for this art project" miss andrews shouted as everyone found themselves a partner, problem was I'd only made one friends.. she didn't take art, so here I was all alone.. "Kai, you can work with Ava" Miss Andrews muttered, "I'd rather not" Kai rudely responded, "Kai, do as you are told" she replied before he slowly walked over and sat next to me.. "I don't want to work with you either" I whispered, I definitely caught his attention as he looked straight into my eyes, it was almost like he was searching for something.. like could he see my soul? Or my heart? That it was covered in Ice and my soul was jet black.. "take a picture, lasts longer" I muttered before Miss Andrews spoke to the whole class.. "I want you to create a art project together, mold each other's creativeness into one, okay?" She boldly said before everyone started there work. I couldn't think of anything worse then having to work with this rude man, I decided to grab the paint brush and paint a side of the canvas black.. "why all black?" He muttered, "that's me, just empty and full of darkness" I whispered before grabbing my bag and heading out of class. "Projects are due in 2 weeks time, can't wait to see them" Miss Andrews happily spoke out to the class. As I started heading to the lunch hall to meet Lyra I felt a hand wrap around my arm.. "this is my number, text me so we can work on the project." Kai said with a frown on his face before walking off in the opposite direction.. weird, I didn't think he'd actually worry about homework.

The day passed nicely, I had lunch with Lyra, Cole and Jax.. I was starting to enjoy having friends, even though Lyra was totally different to me, I really enjoyed her company, she was confident in herself, she stood out and she didn't care what people thought.. she was definitely a character. We had decided to head into town after being invited to a house party Friday at some guys house called jake, I didn't know who that was but Lyra told me he was cool and this would be fun so I agreed.
"I want something slutty but gorgeously pink" Lyra said excitedly whilst looking through all the different dresses and stuff, "what you going for Ava?" She asked, waiting for my answer.. truth be told, I'd never been to a party so I didn't know what to wear, but since Lyra was making such an effort I thought I best had.. "black skirt, nice top or something?" I replied anxiously, "sounds sexy baby" she whispered before searching through the different racks, this was definitely her place, I hated shopping.
What felt like hours, Lyra was finally finished, she tried on millions of outfits.. I had found one within the first five minutes of arriving here, she took her clothes seriously and wanted everything to work and match, earring, bags,shoes, I appreciated the effort she took, that was her thing and hell she looked amazing all the time.

We finally left the mall and decided to hang out at Lyras, "soo.. got your eye on anyone?" She giggled, intrigued in my type.. "no, but.. maybe at the party.. who knows" I joked whilst we started laughing, "what about you?" I asked, awaiting her answer.. "well you know, me and Cole like to go on and off but I'm also into girls so.. we shall see" she smirked before turning the radio on and grabbing my hand, she made me dance around her room with her for what felt like hours, we had laughs, we sneakily smoked some weed out her window, id had a great time.
As I was about to head home I turned to Lyra.." hey, I appreciate you becoming my friend" I smiled before hugging her.. "I knew you'd be my kind of person babes" she responded before kissing my head, "get home safe bestie" she muttered before closing the door, I started making my way home.
On the way back, I'd realised Newhollow was always damp, rainy weather..
the air always smelt like wet trees, mud and grass.. there was a lot of wooded areas around, I liked it here.. it was almost peaceful.
