• Take Note - This takes place before Amphibia. You are the closest with Sasha, mostly due to similar abusive parents.
• Plot - Sasha hasn't been herself for a couple of days, and she's been worrying you. After her cheerleading practice, you decide to finally confront her.

*Y/n's POV*
"For the last time, I'm fine, Y/n." Sasha groaned as she shut her locker, turning to give me an annoyed glance. Usually I would believe her words, but I couldn't stop worrying about her.
Ever since Monday, Sasha had been less talkative, which was very unusual for someone who loves to gossip at every chance she gets. There were obvious signs that she wasn't getting enough sleep. She would space out a lot in class and sometimes even fall asleep on her desk. Her tiredness seemed to get progressively worse throughout the week, too.
On Monday, she was super quiet. On Tuesday, her eyes were pink and she seemed a little distant. On Wednesday, I caught her wiping away a few tears at the end of the day. On Thursday, she fell asleep at lunch, and in our last period class. And today, on Friday, everything was obviously wrong.
"Sasha, I—You don't think I've noticed how weird you've been acting this past week?? There is something wrong and I want to help you! That's what I'm here for, Sasha. I'm your friend!" I tried to keep my voice steady and calm, but failed as it cracked and revealed how worried I was.
Sasha froze and her mouth opened a little in shock, before her eyebrows furrowed and a scowl appeared across her face.
"You don't know what you're talking about, L/n. Nothing is wrong." Sasha scolded me through her gritted teeth, seeming to get more angry with every word.
"B-but—"
"Just shut up already!" Sasha screamed, before immediately covering her mouth with both of her hands. I stared at her, feeling tears beginning to pool in my eyes. She stared back at me, frightened by her own actions and words, before quickly turning and running down the hallway towards the gym.
I stood there frozen for a couple of seconds. Sasha had bursted out in anger a few times since I've known her, but never had she yelled at me like that.
Now I knew for a fact that something was bothering her, and she was going to get worse if I didn't help her soon.
So, I made the only decision I could think of:
Wait until Sasha was done with cheerleading practice and confront her.
I was probably safe.....maybe...
——————-——————-————————————*Time Skip*
I watched Sasha complete her final cheer dance from the bleachers, a small blush on my face, before I quickly shook it off and stood up. I walked down and towards the locker room, which Sasha had just entered. I decided to wait until she was out of there before I would confront her.
.
.
.Ten minutes went by before almost everyone had left the school. I was about to find her myself until Sasha walked out of the locker room, putting her blonde hair back into her famous ponytail.
When we made eye contact, her entire mood changed. A nervous frown replaced her confident smirk, and her arms crossed her chest defensively.
"What are you doing here?" Sasha tried to act annoyed, but a yawn interrupted her.
She looked so tired.
"Look, Waybright. You're going to tell me what's wrong and I'm going to make you feel better. Now spill it." I pointed an accusing finger into her chest.
Sasha inhaled and exhaled, her breath shaking a little, before she agreed.
"Okay...fine. I got into a fight with my parents. Some words were said and things haven't been the same since Monday. But, it's whatever. It doesn't matter, okay?" Sasha went on, shrugging it off as she yawned again.
I wanted nothing more than to march right over to her house and talk some sense into Sasha's parents. She deserved so much more than to be treated like crap. But, as I looked at her, I realized that Sasha was hurting, and I was gonna try and fix it, starting with a hug.
"What the—Y/n, what are you doing?!" The blonde shrieked, mostly in surprise.
"I'm so sorry Sasha. You don't deserve to be treated that way. You're literally so amazing and are a great person in my eyes." I smiled and hugged her tighter, pausing when I heard a sniffle, making me pull away quickly. Sasha's eyes were tearing up, but she wasn't trying to hide it anymore.
"Thanks, N/n. I can always count on you—" She was, once again, interrupted by a tired yawn.
Before she could do or say anything else, I took her hand and started towards the exit doors.
"Where're we going??" The blonde asked in sudden curiosity, not letting go of my hand as she tailed along behind me.
"To my place. Tonight we're gonna have the greatest sleepover ever, and you're gonna get some sleep."

*Nobody's POV*
For the rest of that night, you and Sasha watched movies and laughed.
Sasha was so happy to have someone who really understood what she was going through, and even happier to spend time with you.
