The Relics: Shad

(MELISSA POV)
Aph: Aaron are you crazy!?
I heard Aphmau yell as I walked downstairs, she immediately ran into the boiler room
Lucinda: Aphmau! Wait!
Melissa: What the hell is going on??
I ran downstairs to Lucinda's side
Lucinda: The boiler room just exploded with magic! Aaron and Aphmau are in there!
Zane: Stay here!
KC: What! NO! You'll get yourself hurt, I'm going with you!
Travis: Well I'm going in, come on!
We all ran into the boiler room and a couple of minutes later we found Aphmau extinguishing the flames

APHMAU POV)
AARON!!? I cried out, I used my magik to take out the rest of the flames out
Travis: Aphmau!
Travis and the others came running to me
Melissa: Are you okay!? Can you sense Aaron?!
Aph: I tried to I-
Aaron: Over here!
I ran to where I heard his voice and he was in the corner
Aaron: D- DON'T!
I got closer to him to see what he was so
apprehensive about
"Aaron, your hurt!"
"She stabbed me wi- hiss!* with something, I don't know what it was..though but it's bad"
Aaron's ultima eyes started to get darker but he was sweaty and was beginning to become weary
"Babe talk when you have energy"
"It looks infected, we have to stop it until it gets worst!"
I carefully moved his hand that was covered with his blood, raised the blood-soaked area of his shirt, and checked his wound. I began to heal it, but it was taking longer than expected because of how deep it is

*BOOM*

We all immediately looked behind us
Ivan: You didn't think it was that easy?
Aph: Travis, Lucinda, Zane! Try to distract him
Travis: On it!
Aph: Melissa, I need your help
She ran over and felt Aaron's head
Aaron: Melissa..*pant*, Aph I-
Melissa: Shhh~ you'll be okay, try to relax
His wound was still gushing with blood so I decided to hurry the process to keep him from losing anymore
Aph: Baby, you're going to feel a ton of pressure right now okay? Don't. Move.
He nodded
I looked behind me to see the others fighting off Ivan, I took a deep breath and concentrated on Aaron's injury, and began to increase my power
Aaron: HISS!* DAMMIT!
Melissa rubbed his shoulder and tried to comfort him, it saddened me to hear his suffering, so I stopped my magik. The remaining injury left a bloody but mostly healed wound that needed bandaging
Aph: Let's get him up
Aaron stood up with the help of me and Melissa and Ivan was losing and soon vanished

Back in the lobby)
We hurried Aaron to the couch and minutes later Lucinda started to talk
Lucinda: Aphmau, you said something about a dream yesterday, right?
Aph: Yeah, about a man
I took a first aid kit, cleaned Aaron's injury, and wrapped a compression bandage around his side, he winced and I cringed at the sound
Aph: I'm sorry, it's going to be pretty uncomfortable
Aaron: You're good, it's-hiss!* fine
Lucinda: I think we need to find the relic of this person or man before anything else happens
Travis: Same, how though?
Lucinda: We'll have to figure that out tomorrow...it's been a day.

Aaron and I were now upstairs, he was awake but I could tell he was exhausted, I helped him take off his shirt and his undershirt which revealed his bandage. I put the shirts in a ziplock bag
Aph: How do you feel?
Aaron: Tired as hell, and hurting pretty bad
I sighed and kissed him, he put one of his hands on my cheek
Aaron: Thank you so much, I don't know where I'd be without you and Alina
Aph: You're my husband, no thanks needed
Aaron: I mean it though
Aph: I know
I helped him to bed
Aph: Get some rest, I'll bring you something later

I washed my hands and went back downstairs
Kim: Aphmau!
Melissa: Hey, How's Aaron?
Aph: He'll heal in a day or two with rest and recovery, but overall he's good
Melissa: You?
Aph: Just a bit..light headed
I rubbed my temple
Melissa: I'll go get you some water
Aph: Mel, I'm fine
Melissa: You sure? You used a lot-
Aph: I'll be okay
Lucinda: Found it!
Travis: Woah...
I walked over to Lucinda and Travis looking at a
book
Aph: Shad? What does this have to do with-
Travis: That dream you had
Aph: Yeah, No shit

My eyes started to glow
Travis: Did I trigger her or something?
Katelyn: What do you think Travis, what do you think! You just mansplained her
Travis: Oh! I am so sorry Aph
Zane: Just let her calm down, did you guys find anything else?
Travis: Yes, we found out what the relic looks like, but we don't know the holder- Aphmau you there?

"It's Shad's relic...Shad's descendants hold it"
Lucinda: Holy shit...
Travis: Aphmau!?
I snapped out of my trans and looked at Lucinda
Aph: W- What the hell
Melissa: Does anyone know what just happened?
Lucinda: I- I think so

KC: Soup is ready!
Katelyn: Soup?
KC: Mhm! Since it's been a day and all, plus we'll have leftovers and I am not cooking tomorrow
Zane chuckled
Aph: Thanks Kacy
KC: No problem!

After we ate and had dessert I poured a bowl for Aaron and then went upstairs, I walked into our room
Aph: Hey, I brought you some soup
Aaron: I'm not hungry
Aph: You need to put something in your system, the pain is probably keeping you from eating
I put the bowl on the nightstand next to Aaron and sat next to him
Aaron: I'm really not up for food right now
Aph: it's good, plus you are not gonna have a nice hot bowl like this when we get home~
Aaron: Aph, you know how to make soup
Aph: Can you just have some please, you need to eat
Aaron: Fine
He supported himself up on the headboard and I gave him his bowl
Aaron: Mm, did Kacy make this?
Aph: Ye- Yeah
Aaron: You alright?
Aph: I think I might have eaten something that didn't sit well with my stomach
Aaron: Babe, are you sure you didn't bring any test
Aph: Aaron. I'm. not. pregnant.
Aaron: Okay...
I thought to myself for a couple of minutes about what Aaron said
Aph: *Sigh* damn it, Aaron!
I ran to the bathroom and slammed the door

Aaron POV)
I finished my bowl of soup and placed it on the nightstand then walked to the bathroom door
Aaron: You okay?
She coughed and vomited even more
Aph: Can you get my pouch, please
I rushed over to her duffel bag and grabbed her pouch
'How do I know where everything is?!'
Aph: Did you find it!?
Aaron: Yep!
I walked back to the bathroom and opened the door
Aaron: Sorry I jinxed it
I brushed her hair out of her face
Aaron: Aphmau you're sweating!
She took her pouch and grabbed a pregnancy test

Aph POV)
I opened the test and sat on the toilet
Aaron: Do you want some privacy?
Aph: Nah, I don't mind
I used the test, flushed the toilet, put the cap on then pulled up my shorts
Aph: Now we wait

Zane POV)
I was in bed with Kacy, she was watching TV and I was on my phone.

Zane: Uh, Nana...
Nana: Yea?
Zane: Did you make dessert?
Nana: No, why?
Zane: Lucinda says Melissa is not doing well
Nana: Travis made dessert...shit!
Zane: What?
Nana: Everyone ate the brownies!!
Zane: Brownies!? But Melissa and Aph can't have chocolate!
Nana: He said he was making beetroot brownies?!
Zane: Shiiiit

APHPOV)
Aph: DAMN IT!
Aaron: What exactly did you eat?!
Aph: Beetroot brownies
Aaron: Those don't contain cocoa powder
I stopped pacing and looked at Aaron, he held out his hands
Aph: Aaron my stomach hurts, how am I supposed t-  
He picked me up and sat down on the bed
Aaron: Better?
I nuzzled my head on his chest
Aph: You shouldn't be picking me up
Aaron: I'll be okay, but do you feel better?
Aph: I guess.

LUCINDA POV)
Lucinda: Babe, do you want a heating pad?
Melissa: Mm-hm
I sighed and went over to her side of the bed
Lucinda: Do you have chills?
I felt her head
Melissa: Feels like it. Why didn't I smell the brownies first!
Lucinda: I mean they were good, you ate two
Melissa: Ughh! Fuck meeee!
She whined and rolled over
Lucinda: Don't be so harsh on yourself, you made a small error
Melissa: I wonder how Aphmau is taking this, it is her first time
Lucinda: Wow, that must suck
She whined again and I rubbed her back
Lucinda: Let me get you that heating pad

APH POV)
The sound of my timer went off and I got up
Aph: I'll get it
I walked to the bathroom and looked at the test
Negative -
I sighed in relief and stepped out of the bathroom
Aaron: What does it say?
I sat on the bed and gave the test to him
Aaron: Negative.
Aph:..So?
Aaron: I'm just relieved you aren't yet
Aph: Really?
Aaron: Of course! We're still healing and we're doing good domestically, not that we wouldn't be if you were pregnant again but Alina is all we need as of right now... especially with everything going on
Aph: Agreed
Aaron laid back down causing him to wince
Aph: This is going to be one hell of a night
Aaron: Good thing we're going home tomorrow.
