"Leilani, get up or you'll be late for work" my grandmother, Natalia, yelled knocking on my door.

I sighed grabbing the pillow next to me and putting it over my head.

"you got 10 seconds to get up or ima come in there with my damn belt" my mom co-signed.

"Aight, I'm getting up now." I replied.

I got up from my warm comfortable king size bed, put on my Yeezy slides and went into my bathroom.

I took a quick shower & did my morning skincare routine.

I grabbed my towel and wrapped it around my wet body. I dried my feet off and slid on my slides.

I looked at myself in the mirror and twisted my lips to the side of my mouth, taking my bonnet off.

I straightened my pink lace front and did my makeup. I went back into my room and got dressed for today.

I grabbed my pink body cross purse, my phone and keys and walked out of my room. I walked down the hallway that connected the living room and dining room then walked into the kitchen.

"good morning baby girl." my mom, Leila, smiled, kissing me on the forehead as she walked pass me.

"Morning." I cheesed.

My mom sat beside my grandmother at the white marble island.

"What's for breakfast?" I asked as Chef Anton fixed everyone's plate

"What's for breakfast?" I asked as Chef Anton fixed everyone's plate.

"Scramble eggs, grits, pancakes, turkey sausage, and fresh fruit." Chef informed.

"sounds fantastic." I nodded smiling.

I sat between my mom and grandmother and chef handed me my plate. I prayed then ate my food.

I looked at my Apple Watch seeing that I was going to be late for work. "I have to go. I love y'all." I kissed both of the women and left out of the house.

I work as a receptionist at a tattoo shop called One Luv owned by my family, specifically my uncles and father.

I pulled into the parking lot. I pulled into a park, gathered my belongings and got out of my car.

I kept my head down as I walked toward the building, trying not to be seen by the many good dudes standing on the corners serving the drug addicts.

My dad Nasir and my uncle Nau'jour opened the shop 10 years ago in their old stomping grounds.
