Welcome back to the story guys. I know it's been a while but I (somehow) managed to get shit together and start working on the book again. When I saw that we had hit 10k views, I knew I needed to get back to the grind.

I'm letting you all know that there will be a change in upload schedule. Since I am working a summer job, I will be coming home a lot later than usual. This will greatly cut down on my time working on the book since I also have a life to deal with on the weekends. I will try to keep the upload schedule to a chapter a week, but most likely every other week.

Thank you again to all of those who checked up on me, as well as those who came up with their own ideas to help with the story.

Peace!!

After Y/N broke off from the group to go to sleep, the rest of them went back to the cafeteria. Kate stayed with them so that she could get to know the rest of Y/N's squad better. They gladly let her hang with them for the time being.

Kate: "So, you guys are former counter terrorist specialists?"

Maxim: "We still are part of the Spetsnaz, but we are now prioritizing sirens. We will still take up any requests for specialist operations."

Shuhrat: "If something needs doing, we've got it. Be it terrorist killing, bomb diffusion, hostage elimination, and etc."

Kate: "...You mean "hostage extraction", right?"

Shuhrat: "I know what I said."

Kate laughs nervously, hoping that he would say it was a joke. Instead, she just got more worried at his deadpan expression.

Timur: "Don't worry about what he says, we make sure to keep him away from hostages."

Kate: "...ahem-uh, yeah so, um...how did you guys all meet?"

Alex: "Well, the four of us knew each other from basic training. We were lucky to stick together. Y/N, we met him later. He joined Spetsnaz after we did. He was quiet for a time, didn't interact much, kept to himself."

Shuhrat: "He was like the quiet kid when he first came in. On missions, he was always first in, last out. He took his job seriously but a little too seriously."

Kate: "What made him change?"

The four looked at each other before they all agreed.

Timur: "I think you should take this one Maxim, you were at the forefront of the op."

Maxim nodded and started his fabled tale.

Maxim: "In Spetsnaz, you get placed in a group of five. This is your team and you are stuck with them. Us four were together with a fifth guy. He was a good guy, a bit weird at times, but he worked well with us. He died though, so we were just four men for a while."

Maxim: "Y/N was with the batch of recruits so his squad was new like him. They were older, in their late 20's, he was still 19. He was picked on by his group for his size and his age. They would exclude him during team building exercises, ditch him when we went out for Field Training in the woods, he could never get along with them."

Maxim: "Funny thing is that he didn't care, he was too focused on getting the job done. They would call him a kiss ass and try hard, but we knew he was just doing his best to complete the objective."

Maxim: "The worst was on an op that required multiple teams. His and ours were part of it."
