The wedding took place a few days later, it was rushed--mainly because Camilo kept pressuring his family to "just be done already"--but perfect all the same. Everyone was so happy for the two of you. They could notice the connection you shared and felt touched by your story.
Turns out that, since they were literally living off a magical candle, traveling to a different world didn't seem that crazy by comparison.
It was your day and that moment was yours and only yours. Everything going around you was just background noise because this guy you'd been pining for- crying for every night was about to become your husband and you couldn't believe that your prayers were listened.
Such a miserable life you lived in the world you were trying to forget about, means nothing now. No more torment. Just bliss.
Beside him.
A single tear rolled down your cheek as you walked down the altar. He was in front of you. You didn't want to ever have to look away.
