"You and your dad never had a conversation like that before?" Asked Amara
"No never, We've never actually sat down and talked about stuff like that" Said Grayson
"Maybe your dad must've felt pressured, Or maybe even realized something. You never know; That fight with your mom must've triggered him into having that conversation with you, But I can't speak for him" Said Amara with a slight smile
"It was nice to have a good conversation with my dad for once, But he just seemed so stressed when we were talking" Said Grayson
"Maybe you should do something for your parents, Take the family out to dinner; That's what my parents and I are doing tonight," Said Amara
"I could, But my family isn't like that" Said Grayson
"Well you could say you would like to introduce them to someone" Said Amara with a smirk on her face
"You want to meet my family?" Said Grayson confused
"It could be a nice dinner, I already got my parents to come out, you just convince yours and it should hopefully take their minds off of everything that happened," Said Amara
"You have a point, But won't your parents be mad about you talking to a boy" Said Grayson
"I have my ways, And besides your not just any boy," Said Amara with a smirk
"I have to go, But text me and let me know; I'll call you later, Bye," Said Amara as she hung up the phone.

"Yo Gabriel," Said Grayson walking into his bedroom
"What," Said Gabriel
"Let's convince mom and dad to go out to dinner with us tonight" Said Grayson
"Why," said Gabriel
"Because It will hopefully bring them back together; Plus I want you guys to meet Amara's family" Said Grayson as he smiled saying her name
"I don't think that will work" Said Gabriel
"Come on, Gabriel" Said Grayson almost begging him
"Fine, Only because I want to see this Amara girl," Said Gabriel as he walked out of the room
Gabriel went to Mary and asked her to go out for dinner; While Grayson went to Allen and asked him. They both got a yes and eventually got ready. Grayson had it all planned, He and Allen would drive together, While Gabriel and Mary drove separately. They would meet and the restaurant where Amara and her parents would already be at. Grayson quickly freshened up and got ready. He pulled out his phone and texted Amara.
"I got a yes from both of them, So we'll be there soon"
"Great we just left, Can't wait to see you"
"I know, Let's hope everything goes well, See you in a bit"
"Mom and I are about to leave" Said Gabriel sticking his head into Grayson's room
"Alright, Dad and I will leave 5 minutes after" Said Grayson
"Let's hope tonight goes well," Said, Gabriel
"Let's hope"

"How far are we?" Asked Allen
"2 more minutes," Said, Grayson
As the drive went by, They all finally arrived at the restaurant. Amara and her parents were already there and Gabriel and Mary were making their way into the restaurant. As Allen and Grayson walked in they made eye contact with Mary and Gabriel; Who were sitting in the waiting area. Before they could say anything to each other, Grayson interrupted.
"I bought you all here to make up, And meet someone; So let's go" Said Grayson in a stern tone
They all follow behind Grayson as he makes his way through the tables and over to where Amara and her parents are sitting.
"Hi Amara nice to see you again," Said Grayson respectfully as he gave her a hug
"Hi I'm Grayson nice to meet you both" Said Grayson as he hugged Maddie
Grayson reached his hand over to Bruce who was staring coldly at Allen. Maddie saw the looks on both their faces. It's been years since they saw each other; They never thought of reuniting, especially not with their own children.
"Dad!" Said Amara as she caught Bruce's attention
He looked over at Grayson who still had his hand out. He shook his hand and reached over to Allen.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Bruce"
"I'm Allen"
Maddie was confused by how they reacted. Bruce and Allen knew each other already; What game are they playing?
"Guys this is Amara, And her parents," Said Grayson looking in their direction
Allen, Mary, and Gabriel all smiled at them. After that it was silent; Mary was busy on her phone texting Ryle. Gabriel was watching Grayson and Amara who was constantly smiling and mouthing words to each other and Allen and Bruce were catching eye contact while Maddie observed.
"I don't want to be here Ryle"
"Then leave, Or I could come to save you"
Allen watched as he saw Mary smile at her phone. He wonders who she could be texting, And why she isn't engaging. A few minutes went by of nothing but just dead silence at their table
"It was a pleasure meeting you guys, But I'm gonna head on home now," Said Mary as she stormed out
Allen was shocked by the way she stormed out, He looked over at Grayson who looked angry but also embarrassed, She just disrespected their family by storming out in front of them.
"I think it's best if we get going too," Said Maddie as she signaled Amara and Bruce
The boys all watched as Amara and her parents got up from their seats. Bruce and Allen shared eye contact one last time, Bruce smiled and nodded as he followed behind Maddie and Amara. All who were left at the table were Allen and the boys. Gabriel looked shocked but tried to hide it and Grayson looked angry and embarrassed.
"Grayson I'm sorry about you mother she-"
"I don't want to hear it dad"
