I walked out of my bathroom after getting myself together and grabbed my phone off the charger seeing I had more messages of people telling me happy birthday

"Got damn" I mumbled putting my phone on do not disturb and putting it in my pocket

Opening my room door I smelt breakfast and already knew my momma was downstairs doing the most. when I walked down there I saw balloons in the living room and shook my head going in the kitchen

"Happy birthday doodie!" She yelled smiling when I walked in and I chuckled

"Thank you ma" I grabbed a piece of bacon and she pulled me into a hug

"I can't believe I have a big ass 18 year old" She rocked us back and forth

"I knew you was gon do this" I put the bacon in my mouth and she kissed my cheek

"Because you're growing too fast" She poked out her bottom lip

"Don't even get to crying" I said immediately and she laughed

"I'm not I did all of that earlier" She said. I chuckled going to the table seeing the gifts she had sitting there

"Open your gifts" She sat a plate in front of me and I grabbed the biggest box first

When I opened it I saw she got me some shoes and a few graphic tees

"Your welcome. now open that one" She pointed and I grabbed it opening it

It was a chain with a football pendant on it and I instantly smiled

"Ohh shit!" I looked at her and she laughed watching me take the chain outta the box

"Turn it around, look at the back of it" She said and I flipped it

"Future NFL star" I read it and put it around my neck "This hard" I got up to look at it in the mirror

"Yea that looks good it's the perfect length too" She said

"Thank you momma, I love you" I smiled at her

"I love you too. I knew you were gonna really like this one" She chuckled

"Where dad at?" I asked as I sat down and started eating my food

"He had to go check into the Airbnb at 7 so that the party decorating people could start setting up" She said and I nodded eating my food

"He's gonna stay until you get up there, so when you finish eating just slip on something and get there early. you'll have time to get dressed before people start coming. what time does it start?" She asked me

"Okay. I have a doctors appointment in a hour so I won't see you after I leave but I hope you have fun this weekend"
