adams mom opened the door.

"hello, cherry, how are you?" she greeted.

"good, how are you?" i asked, folding my coat and following her down into the living room.

"good! you are actually a little early, would you like to have some breakfast?" she asked .

"an apple is more than enough." i said, and she took one out of a fruit basket positioned in the center of the table. "thank you so much."

"it's not problem." she smiled, and motioned to the seat right next to adam.

adam groaned, earning a gentle smack on the arm from his mother and a whispered 'be polite!'

"i'd love for you to sit right next to me at 8 in the morning. it's my dying wish." adam said sarcastically, tilting his head.

"thank you!" i said sweetly, taking a seat right next to him.

adams mother had work later than expected, so it'd be maybe an hour before she'd leave, and adam and i could insult each-other.

if i had to spend an hour seated right next to adam, having to pretend to be bestfriends with him while he could be rude. i was going to have fun with it.
