Episode 2

I was closing my locker when I saw Jake.
I sat by him.
"Hey! Congrats on being nominated for student of the month!" I said.
"Thanks! Do I have your vote?" He asked.
"Yes." I said laughing.
"You alright?" I asked
"yea I guess."
"what's wrong" I asked.
"Nothing. My parents think I'm a disappointment, or the "dented can"of the family."he said.
Huh? Where have I heard that before?
"Well who cares, I think you're awesome." I said putting my hand on his leg then moving it.
"Thanks y/n/n" he said blushing sightly.
"It's never a problem. I mean.. I- care-about you so but I'm gonna go catch up with Hartley, see you around." I said getting up and running.
"See ya."

"Is that you're girlfriend?." Amy asked.
"No. She's a friend of mine, she's pretty nice." He said.
"Oh yeah who am I kidding, you couldn't get a girlfriend if you tried!" Amy said laughing.

"Sup best friend." I stated scaring Hartley.
"Don't do that." She said laughing.
"Sorry." I laughed.
"What's up with Amy? Why is she trying to record you?" I stated crossing my arms.
"What??? Amy recording me? No? What are you talking about?" She said.
"Mhm. Sure." Look if your hiding something from me. That's fine but Amy gives me a bad vibe." I said.
"Amy is fine. Don't worry y/n/n" Hartley said.
"Alright."

I don't buy it. Something is up.

I walked into the bathroom where I can't be heard and called starling.
"Hey starling, I'm kind of suspicious of someone I'm keeping an eye out."
"Alright y/n keep me updated." She said
"Will do, star."
I hung up and walked out of the bathroom.

"Guys did you hear? Someone cut off the head of the eagle mascot!" Hazel said as we walked towards the maddens.
"And the police are here to investigate." I added.
"I don't believe we've met, who are you?" Mr. Madden said.
"Oh, Um. I'm y/n." I said.
"Oh so you're Jakes girlfriend right? The one he doesn't shut up about."
Jakes eyes went wide.

"Huh? No sir, we are just friends." I felt my face go red. My heart isn't ready for someone else yet.
The cop interrupted just in time.

"Listen up, your vice principal called me here, because someone vandalized school property. And when I find out who it was, the person will be arrested."
That's my cue to move away from everyone.
I went and opened my locker. It's down the hall.
I heard Amy talking about framing Hartley.
What the heck is going on?
Jake ran in front of Hartley's locker.
Is their whole family in on it?
I'm watching everything go down.
What. Hid it in her locker?

"I'm a good person, and when I say you can trust me, I mean it." Harley said.

At this point I was secretly listening.
