Chapter Sixteen

Amity's P.O.V

After Luz put on some kind of human children's film about monster, she passed out after half an hour.

She was snoring softly and drooling a bit as she clung onto her plushy while her little brother's head was in her stomach.

'Titan that is absolutely precious'

"Amity you're getting all dreamy face again. Go to sleep."

I hit Skara with my pillow much to her annoyance as she falls asleep on her stomach.

I huff a bit and lay down on my back though sleep didn't come naturally. My mind was too preoccupied with all the events that's happened the last twenty-four hours.

My mother would probably scolded me for acting in such an undignified manner as well as associating myself with someone as low as a human.

Yet...

I look over at the sleeping human, seeing a small smile on her face as she dreamed the night away with her little brother and animal plushy.

As I get a closer look to her, I couldn't help but feel my heart ache when I saw how small she really is.

She very skinny, so skinny that I could see the outline of a few of her ribs even with how much she eats, scars of all kind decorated her up upper body and most likely back. Her height was the same if not a bit taller than Willow's friend Augustus but that could change once he goes through puberty.

I gently brush a bit of her soft fluffy brown hair," What are you doing to me Luz. I'm suppose to act like a Blight and yet you make me into such a mess."

The girl in question didn't answer me back. Instead she nuzzles her face against my hand in her sleep. I could help but feel the weird warm feeling again at the adorable gesture.

I let out a small yawn as exhaustion finally hits me. Feeling my eyes slowly close, one thought swam through my head before I join everyone in the sweet embrace of sleep.

'I have to ask this girl to grom...'

~The Next Morning~

Eda's P.O.V

"Titan I need some apple blood."

Walking down the stairs, I couldn't help feel the soreness of my aching muscles as my body tells me that I need my elixir and apple blood.

As I take a peek in the living room, I could help but maybe sneak in some pictures as I see the youngest Blight cuddling Luz in her sleep while Kimg was using her stomach as a pillow. Though judging from the smile Luz has in her sleep, she didn't mind it at all.

I quickly slip into the kitchen and start making some griffin egg omelets, slitherbeast bacon along with getting some hashbrowns.

After I started cooking the bacon, I hear two pair of feet running towards the kitchen along with two voice of protest from being awaken abruptly.

"We smell bacon!!!" Both King and Luz burst into the kitchen with their fur and hair a sleepy mess. Not mention that Luz still had on only her Azura boxers and drool on her face.

I snort a bit," Sit down at the table and wait for me to be finish. Hey mint and music girl you up yet."

Hearing the protest and some cursing from the two, they walk into the kitchen with the worst bed head I've seen.

Amity sats next to Luz and in her sleepy daze, rests her head on the kid's shoulder. Luz didn't mind as she starts having a conversation with Skara about music and Bard class.

"So what other classes do you take at your school? Are you in the same class as Amity?"

Skara shakes her head," No not really, Amity is part of the abomination track at Hexside while I'm part of the bard track. We only have history and runes together as well as grudgy practice."

"What's grudgby?" Luz tilts her head in confusion.

"Grudgy," I answer as I make plates for everyone," Is the most popular sport on the Isles. I use to be the best player on the team back in my Hexside days while my older sister was the captain."

I swear both kids had stars in their eyes when I gave them that small piece of information.

"Who's the team captain now?"

"The Triplet's only daughter Boshca." Amity growls out the name angrily. Couldn't blame her though, most people despised the Triplet's even more than the Blight family since they delt with people in a much more violent manner.

I cringe at the infanous name as Luz looks at her friend worriedly.

"Amity? Who is she and why did you cringe at the name Eda?"

I give each kid their breakfast as I sat down at the head of the table," Everyone in Bonesborough knows who she is. I just didn't know she was the star player and captain of Hexside's team. She's even known in some parts of the underground for helping her dad out with some business."

Luz sensing tension in the air, quickly changes the subject and asking her crush about the abomination track. Minty happily explains how the magic works and even created a small one for the kid to see.

Seeing her smile and being completely comfortable here in the demon realm makes me forgot sometimes that she's human as she talks to the bard girl about different uses of bardic magic and what they do in class at Hexside.

'Hatchlings are happy'

'Yeah they are...'

I smile softly at the domestic scene infront of me as I watch the kids enjoy their breakfast, talking to eachother and laughing at some stories.

Enjoying the new warm feeling while drinking my apple blood.
