Chapter Twenty-Seven

~A Few Days Later: Brought to You By Chibi Luz Eating Ice Peaches~

After the whole owl beast incident and fixing up the house and Hooty's door, momma decided to make it comfy pj/movie day.

King got his bunny Francois and I got Sir Otterton as momma made a bunch of our favorite foods from pancakes with homemade ice peach syrup to spicy griffion pasta.

It was an absolute blast but today wasn't going as well as we expected. The main problem being is that there was literally no one around!

Not even Mr.Helix's smithing tent was up and he's always here way before we are.

I was in the back of the tent with King experimenting with the light glyph and what kind of materials I could use instead of paper. So far from what we found was that paper instantly vanishes  when I activate it and when I drew it on the wall. The glyph stayed but with each use, the crayon slowly faded till it was gone.

I was trying to see if instead of drawing it, I could carve it into something like wood or metal. Like making a bracelet or necklace so as I was slowly finishing carving a light glyph onto a fairly thick wooden bracelet I found in the tent, momma called for me to come out the tent.

I pop my head out of the flap," I have been summoned?"

"You friends are here hun." I look over and saw my small group of friends who looked like as if they were currently on sugar high.

I walk out of the tent, after making sure all my little light glyph cards are in my pocket, and was immediately tackled into a hug by Gus and Willow.

"Woah guys, what's got all of you so excited?"

Willow holds up a semi-big flyer," It's this year's annual convention!!!! Not mention there's going to be a special guest coming!!"

She was really excited about this convention. Hell everyone was, even Amity was really happy. She was talking to Skara and had a big smile on her face.

'She's so beautiful...'

Momma was the one that snapped me out of whatever trance I was in by lightly smacking the back of my head.

I pout up at her as she and Willow gave me smug smirks. Sharing a knowing look with eachother while I feel my face burn up.

"S-so um what's this convention about?"

Gus answered this time as Skara and Amity came closer," It's a whole event where everyone gets to see what each of the nine convens can do with their magic!!"

"Also," Amity adds," It gives students a glimpse on what each coven can offer before they decide after graduation."

Amity was blushing a bit and smiles more," We were wondering if you want go tag along?"

I look over at momma, I could tell she was having an internal debate on whether or not to let me but after getting puppy dog eyes from King and me. She agreed after stating she was coming along too.

So after momma packed up the stand, we all made our way to the convention center.

Amity's P.O.V

Luz was showing us some pictures of her latest human technology projects to Gus, who was having a field day about how advance humans were.

"And what does that game bot do?"

"Game boy Gus," She chuckles," A game boy is an entertainment device that people of all ages use to play video games! I can show you more of the game consoles and the big TV I found in  the basement!!"

Gus was bouncing in anticipation but before he could ask more questions, we made it to the convention center.

"Okay munchkins," Eda says as she puts her hair into her cowl, hiding it as best she could,"Make sure Luz doesn't get swarmed by fans titan knows what some would do and you all have my scroll contact if anything happens."

She looks at me," You are incharge Minty and please make sure Luz doesn't get into trouble."

I gently take hold of Luz's hand as she blushes hard," I promise Eda."

"Good now lets get this over with have, I'll watch over this little troublemaker so he doesn't go off to find offerings."

King just pouted and climbs up onto his mother's shoulder. Eda gave Luz a small sack of snails to spend and with that we all ventured inside to see the different covens.

"Wooooah this place is huge!!" Luz looks around the whole convention and was ready to bolt to see everything when I gently squeezed her hand.

"Luz you have to stay in the group." I told her but I instantly regretted saying her name out loud.

"Did she say Luz!!"

"Oh my titan it's Luz Noceda!!!"

"LUZ!!!!"

A huge mob of Luz's fans started running towards us as the girl in question was clinging onto me in fear.

"EVERYONE SCATTER!!!!"

I quickly pick up Luz bridal style with little to no effort and ran in a random direction like my life depended on it as everyone did else to confuse the mob.

My worries weren't on the crazed fans Luz got since her last performance. My worries were at how light she was in my arms. I knew she was skinny since I saw her shirtless at the sleepover but this was worrying.

We ducked into the literature coven's tent and sigh out in relief as I didn't see anyone follow us. I gently place her back onto the ground.

"Okay I think we good for now, so what do you wanna see first Luz?"

I look over at my crush and smile softly as she was blushing up a storm from our little adventure.

"C-Can we look around here? I love to read and I want to see if they have some books on bard magic."

"Of course Luz, let's explore! Maybe I can find some books on abomination and find the fifth book of The Good Witch Azura."

"You read Azura! I do too!! If you can't find the fifth book I can lend you mine!!" She gave me her signature goofy grin and as we explored the tent. I am kinda happy that the mob did appear since now I'm able to spend some time with Luz alone.

I smile happily as Luz went on a full rant about Azura and her relationship with Hecate and I couldn't help but giggle at how passionate she was getting. She also began to giggle too and for the next couple of hours, she and I explored the convention till it was time for the special event with the biggest smiles on our face.
