HIDDEN TRUTH
───🏹───
viii~Dinner part two

AS MISS STACY released us I quickly stood up and went to the coat room, I got my stuff and quickly walked up to Gale.

"Gale, what are you planning to do today?" I asked him as he was still putting his coat on, "I think I'll go to Regulus' place," he said as I just nodded.

We both walked out at the same time and the cold winter breeze hit out face, "Bye, love you" I said as I gave him a quicki hug as he started to walk the opposite direction of our house.

I watched Gale disappear into the grass field instead of the forest as I heard a voice from behind me, "Ah there you are" a voice a I recognized said as I turned around.

"Are you ready to go?" Gilbert asked as he put his arm our for me to take, I nodded as I linked arms with him and headed into the Forest.

"Will your dad and step-mother be joining us for dinner today?" he asked as he turned to me. "No, they are currently in Charlotte Town, and my Brothers are in Regulus' house" I explained as I turned to look at him and he just nodded.

We walked in silence, not akward silence but comforting silence. I could hear the birds singing a melody and the squirles climbing up the trees.

As we approached my house I opened the gate as I let Gilbert in, we started to walk through the small bridge which was covered in snow and arrived at the front door.

I unlocked the door and let Gilbert in as he whispered thank you and walked in.

Lily, the maid came running up to us and offered Gilbert help on taking his coat off but he said it was okay and he could manage. I took of my coat, hat, scarf and gloves as I put them in the coat rack in the entrance.

"Come on!" I said as I took Gilbert's hand and dragged him up the stairs. We ran through the hallway and arrived at my room. I bursted the door open as I ran over to my bed and laid in it with my arms streched out.

Gilbert just started to walk around my room examining the paintings, the instruments laid around and the flowers.

"That's regulus' painting," I explained as I sat up and turned to look at Gilbert who was looking at a painting. "It's a-" I said as I walked up to him.

"Lotus flower.." We said in unison, we started into each others eyes as we were just inches away. His hazel eyes are so beautiful, they complement his curly hair very well, and his lips looked so soft..

I then snapped out of it as I turned around and started to walk over to my bed again. "So umm.. gilbert what would you like to do?" he asked me as he went over to my bed to and sat on it.

"I have a question" He said as turned to look at me. "How many workers do you have?" he asked I just chuckled at his ridiculus question.

"Well we have a cook, she has her own house in Charlotte Town but comes everyday to cook us food, we pay for her train" I explained as I turned to look at him and his soft features.

"Then their lily the maid, she has a room on the first floor, i've realised the wealthy families also have a cook and a maid, like the Barry's and Pye's" I said kind of in a questioning tone as he nodded in agreement.

"Then we have a Butler, Louis. He has been working for us since I was a baby. He is more like family too me" I softly smiled as a memory of Louis playing dolls with me when I was seven flashed in my mind.

"Why did I think you would have so many way more?" He chuckled as he fell back in my bed. I looked down at him as I admired his soft delicate features, but then a knock interrupted my thoughts.

The door opened as Gilbert sat back up and we both turned to face the door. "Y/n, food is ready!" Lily said as she smiled at me and I stood up. "Thank you, Lily. Have you eaten?" I asked her as Gilbert stood up next to me and Lily opened the door wider.

"Yes, I have. Thank you for caring" She smiled as she walked away and headed to her room. "Come on, let's go eat!" I said as I walked out of my room and started walking down the hall.

"I liked that" Gilbert randomly said as we started to walk down the stairs. "Liked what?" I asked confused as I guided him to the Dining room. "How you cared for her, I've been to the Barry's house once for a Christmas party and they treated their maid like a slave" he said his jaw tigthened remebering that day.

"I mean, Lily is still human. Why wouldn't I care for her?" I smiled as we both sat down in the dining table.

In front of us was displayed roasted potatoes, with a well-done steak and some vegetables in two plates. "Thank you y/n, for this" Gilbert said as I looked up at him as I was eating. "Of course, anytime" I smiled as we both started to eat.
