"I- I GET ABUSED by my step-mother" I stuttered out as I sobbed harder into Gilbert's chest while he stroke my hair,

"And.. and it's not just me, it's also gale too-o. And-d Regulus also used to get abused by her but he moved out!" I sobbed harder and I gripped his blazer.

"Why haven't you told anyone?" He whispered as he gave me soft kisses in my head.

"Don't you think I tried? I tried to tell my dad but he didn't believe me and told me it was probably a dream!" I sobbed as he planted kisses all over me.

"Why didn't tell someone else? Why didn't you tell me?" He said as I could tell he was shocked without even looking at him.

"Who do you think everybody is going to believe? A..a well respected woman with a rich husband or-r some kids who apparently know nothing?" I asked him as I backed away from his chest and looked up at him.

"Y/n.." he said as he grabbed my arm and pulled up the sleeve revealing cuts and bruises.

Tears started to fall down my cheeks and I bit my lip trying to hold in my cries.

He then brought up my arm up to his lips and started to kiss every single cut and bruise, it made me smile a little bit but I still felt like crying.

He then looked back at me and brought my head to his chest I started to sob harder again.

"You know what even worst? She dosen't want me talking to you!" I said as my cries started to soften.

"But.. but do you want to talk to me?" He asked as his voice hitched, I looked up and him and stared into those big hazel eyes I fell in love with.

I then connect our lips together and pulled back.

"Of course I do, I even want to marry you some day" I sadly smiled but then started to cry again.

"But she said the moment she finds out I am talking to you or even courting you she would send me of go an ranged marriage!" I sobbed hardened and I felt something Wet on my head.

I looked up to see Gilbert crying too.

"I will never let her hurt you again y/n, you hear me?" He said as he held me closer to him and we both cried silently.

"I won't let her get away with anything or even marry you off, I will find a way I promise.." he whispered into my ear.

He was in pain too.

In pain that his lover was in pain, I loved him so god damn much.

Yeah I don't think I could let him go, and I hope I won't.

After a few minutes of us just sitting there cuddled up in silence in the freezing cold of Christmas we both stood up and started to head back go the trail.

"Gilbert.." I said as we both walked silently with our hand held together walking through the forest with puffy red eyes.

"Yes, love?" He asked as turned to look at me.

"I love you" I said as we both stopped, he just stared at me and that's when I knew I shouldn't have said that.

"I love you too, darling" he said as I sigh in relief thinking he didn't love me.

We both leaned in and closed the gap between us, our lips moved syncly as I felt butterflies in my stomach.

We both pulled away as we smiled foolishly at each other.

He then unexpectedly put his arms around me and hugged me tightly, I paused for a moment but then hugged him back.

"Believe dear, one day I will make sure you don't get an arranged marriage and marry me instead" he whispered into my ear.
