The world had gone dark.

Every light had shut off, every electrically locked door was locked tight. There was no way out of here now, not unless someone could find a way to turn the power back on or get the back up generator running.

Ivar cursed. Leif and Lex, weapons aimed at the man behind the drama.

"Go and find out what that's about will you?!" Ivar hissed at one of the men standing nearby.

What had felt like hours in the darkened hall had been a matter of seconds. They had come so far into the lab, and down here they didn't make fancy with the windows for obvious reasons.

"Boss–"

"Now!" Ivar hissed, grinding his teeth.

The poor guy walked away, unsure of how he was supposed to do what had been asked of him when he couldn't make it out of the hall without the key to bypass the electronics, the key that was currently missing from his own keychain.

"We just want our girl Ivykins," Lex taunted, his grin grazing against the fabric of his mask.

"Yeah, and if you don't hand her over, I think this place would look quite as beautiful dressed in pretty flames, don't you think, Lex?" Leif looked to Lex, if only for a second, before turning his hard, cold stare back to the man they all hated.

"I agree with you sweetheart." Lex found it in him to joke, for if he didn't at least try to distract himself from the fact that he was here with Leif–Leif who had broken his curse all too easily–and come back from the dead. Here, now for Elora.

Sunflower smiled awkwardly. She raised her hand, wiggling her fingers in a wave and putting on the biggest, fakest smile she could muster up. One of the guys had run off on them, Sunny had been so sure he was off to find his boss, ratting them out.

"Doctor Shay, what were you doing in the closet with our subjects, Mr Sidbrooke won't be–" Erik zapped him with an electrical current, the power literally flying from his fingertips.

"He's a supe, cuff him," one of the three guys called, nobody knowing where to aim their guns or attention.

"Erik!" Sunny launched herself towards the man, her face full of fear and her heart pounding so rapidly against her chest.

The armed men took one look at Sunflower, the knowledge that they now suspected her too evident on their tired faces.

"Doctor Shay–"

"Get her, get them all." Armed guards emerged from the hall behind them, orders being barked around the space Sunny, Rosalie, Cale and Erik now found themselves trapped in–Arrow was the first to jump before his friends, his power surging through his veins as he felt the life of thousands of forms shifting around beneath his veins.

He would be ready to protect his friends. Even if it killed him.

Muffled voices were the only thing Elora could hear from inside the locked room Ivar had left her in. She shivered. It was cold in here, but it was just as cold inside of her now.

Bunny betrayed me. Betrayed us.

Ivar wants to marry me. Build an army or some weird fucked up shit.

Leif is dead.

The tears began to fall and Elora cursed herself. She wondered if perhaps she had been more careful that night she ran into Timmy and Kyle, if maybe it would have prolonged what was clearly set in stone a long time ago, maybe they would have had more time.
