3rd Person POV

"One step behind..." Sadie whispers, walking aimlessly around a park where a birthday party was taking place. "One step behind..." She flops to sit on the curb. "I need to get a step ahead. Or at least one track, that way I'd have a fighting chance." She whispers to herself. She looks around the party and sees a redhaired woman that she recognizes to be Aurora DeMartel from Hope's past. She watches as Aurora grabs a jacket and puts it on, grabs a hat and puts it on. Aurora was covering her identity. That was a Hope move. "She's not in her own body..." Sadie whispers, remembering what the no eyed man had told her about Hope

Sadie chants an invisibility spell on her, her entire body disappearing. She stands, following after Aurora who was actually Hope. And a few blocks away at a restaurant, Lizzie was about to learn about the body swap as well...

Lizzie pierces a stake through Hope's hand. "Hope Andrea Mikaelson." Lizzie growls. "I was hoping we'd have a chance to chat."

"You're making a terrible mistake." Hope says with a groan of pain. "I'm not who you think I am."

"Tell me about it." Lizzie says. "I thought you were a good person who was my friend. Guess I missed all the psycho m*rder red flags. And looking back, there were many."

"Get it through that bottle-blonde head of yours, I'm not Hope Mikaelson." Hope growls

"You actually thought I would fall for that?" Lizzie says with a scoff. "Guess you're desperate enough to try anything, huh?"

"Will somebody help me?" Hope asks, looking around but no one in the restaurant reacts

"Please. I cast a Conus silenti spell before I stabbed you." Lizzie says. "They can't hear a word we're saying. You want to know a secret? This isn't just any old stake. It's Tribrid Kryptonite. If I had stabbed you in the heart, you'd be dead right now. Like always, nature found a freaking loophole. Which means I get to decide whether you live or die."

"Incendia." Hope chants, the spell hitting the tray of a waiter and lighting on fire

Lizzie stares at the commotion but then looks at Hope. "Hope would never miss with a spell that easy."

"That's because, you insufferable halfwit, I'm not Hope." Hope growls – or rather, Aurora in Hope's body growls

***

"Oh, you know how men can be." Aurora in Hope's body says. "Niklaus, he spelled me in, bricked me up, and trapped me behind a wall. Like some character in an Edgar Allan Poe story."

"Gothic villainy must run in the family." Lizzie quips. "Once, in fifth grade, Hope stole my favorite butterfly clip."

"Are you comparing the loss of a hair accessory to the physical and emotional torment that I endured at the hands of a man that I once loved?" Aurora in Hope's body questions

"My point is, we've both suffered at the hands of a Mikaelson." Lizzie says

"If you're suggesting that we join forces, I possess the body of the Tribrid." Aurora in Hope's body says

"Which you don't know how to use." Lizzie reminds her

"I'm a quick study." Aurora in Hope's body says

"Not quick enough." Lizzie says. "I just snuck up on you, and Hope has the body of a thousand-year-old vampire. You're gonna need someone to watch your Tribrid back."

"And why should I trust you?" Aurora in Hope's body asks

"Because... we want the same thing." Lizzie says. "To make Hope Mikaelson pay."
