3rd Person POV

"Thank you all for being here." Dr Saltzman says, taking the podium in the front. Hope and Sadie sit down next to each other

"You know what this is about?" Sadie whispers to which Hope shrugs

"You know, I made Ethan's mother a promise." Dr Saltzman begins his speech. "The same promise I made your parents when they enrolled you here, that I would care for you as if you were my own. But here we are, memorializing yet another student. And that is not what this place was meant to be. The Salvatore School was founded with a single mission: to create a safe space for young supernaturals. In reality, it's anything but. And achieving our mission statement... my mission statement... has proven impossible. And because I can no longer keep my promise... the Salvatore School must close." All the students react. Sadie is frozen in her seat, staring straight. "I have nothing more to say...Other than I'm sorry..." And with that, he leaves the room

The moment after he leaves the room, Sadie jumps up from her seat and bolts towards the stairs, making her way to her room. Hope rushes after her, calling her name the whole time, but Sadie doesn't stop running until she throws herself into her bed under her covers

"Sades..." Hope whispers, closing the door behind her and slowly making her way over to the girl under the covers. She sits down on the bed and places her hand on Sadie's back

"Don't you dare tell me that everything is going to be okay, Hope Mikaelson." Sadie's muffled voice says

"I wasn't going to." Hope whispers

"Good." Sadie says, pulling the covers off of her head and sitting up. "Because when this place closes...I have nowhere to go..." Sadie says with tears in her eyes

"I know." Hope whispers, listening to her best friend talk

"I don't know what I'm supposed to do." Sadie whispers, her voice sounding defeated

Hope stands up. "I'll be right back." She says, making her way out of the room angrily before she bursts into Dr Saltzman's office. "Are you out of your mind?" Hope questions. "You can't just make this decision without consulting anyone."

"And what makes you think I haven't?" Dr Saltzman asks

"Well, you didn't consult me." Hope tells him. "If you did, I would have told you that we need this place. I need this place."

"Hope Mikaelson, if there is one person I am confident will find a new path, it is you." Dr Saltzman says

"I don't want a new path. I just got back on this path." Hope tells him

"This path leads to dead kids." Dr Saltzman says. "Take it from a former bourbon drinker: just because something feels good doesn't make it right. Saying goodbye to this school will hurt. But each day, it will get better. If we keep doing what we have been, the pain will only get worse."

"Maybe we don't need to close. Maybe we just need a headmaster who can handle the pressure." Hope says, turning to leave the room before she stops. She turns to Dr Saltzman again. "Did you even think about how this would effect Sadie?" She asks in a whisper

"I tried to think of everyone." Dr Saltzman tells her

"You obviously didn't." Hope says. "Because if you did...you would have asked me about the hybrid upstairs who is broken over the news of this place."

"We're all broken." Dr Saltzman tells her

"We're different." Hope says. "You have family to go to. I have family to go to. Sadie? She's got no one." She says loudly before taking a deep breath to calm down. "I really think you need to spend some time reflecting on your decision." She tells him before turning to leave the room
