Taehyung remembers the day vividly.
The day he didn't expect would come.
He remembers Nina's still eyes and body, covered in blood. They were taking her away. Her earring fell. He didn't let the staff take it away from him, saying she left a gift for him.
He decides he'll wear his most expensive coat today. He'll wear it daily till his voice is heard. He doesn't forget to attach her earring to his coat as a brooch. It is his lucky charm.
He does it daily. Goes around Nina's favourite places until he can't take it anymore.
He takes his old MP3 player and headphones the next day and stands in between the road that leads to the minister's office. He doesn't care about the speeding cars toward him or the police officers asking him to move because he can't hear a thing.
He doesn't care if the minister's car has to stop in between.
Helpless, Police officers pick up his wheelchair altogether and take it off-road but Taehyung doesn't forget to complete his task.
He throws a show towards Yoo's car, and breaks a siren light.
Mission completed.
He smiles and goes back to listening to his songs.

"Hello?" Yoongi's voice is a little groggy because it's the middle of the night when he receives a phone call.
"Hello, Mr Min! Mr Min!" It's Sue, caretaker of Taehyung. She sounds like she's crying, panicking, is helpless. "Tae! He—"
And the rest of the phone call is a blur to Yoongi. He wakes Jin up and they both rush to Taehyung's house with medical and police help. Yoongi's eyes widen when he sees Taehyung's figure against the wall with stab wounds on his chest and a wheelchair burning in the yard.
"Taehyung! Taehyung!"
Taehyung smiles, breathless, "Mr Min! Here!" he points at the window leading out of the yard, "Look what he's done....He ran out that window." Taehyung coughs and Sue brings him some water.
"I'll check."
"Look what he's done."
"Drink some water." Yoongi walks towards the window to see if someone is still there before coming back to Taehyung. "What happened?"
"Vizier. He- Vizier...I was sleeping when suddenly... I heard a loud noise. When I came out... there was a fire. My chessboard was burning.."
Yoongi furrows his eyebrows.
"He said, 'A mere pawn... a shoe? At the king?' Now play with me."
Taehyung groans before continuing, Yoongi almost wants to ask him to stop. "Who are you? I asked and he said, 'I can be anyone.'"
