When they arrived to the ship, Kaz was barking out orders for the rest of them, threatening anyone who looked at him the wrong way. Before they'd set off, he'd found the perpetrators of the attack, removing the eye of one and throwing him overboard. It was like a bloodbath, his eyes gleaming with madness as blood ran down his face, a sight that warned everyone to stay clear of him. A sight that reminded her of what she'd done. Betrayal didn't wash over easy for Kaz, she made note of that, she'd never be doing that again.

As soon as they set off, time on the ship passed by painstakingly slow and she'd often found herself sitting by the edge, looking out at the ocean before her as she thought about the last mission she'd had with them. One of the most foolish parts of their plan was when she and Inej had to pose as entertainment for the ravkans. She'd had a red ribbon held tightly in her hand as she stared ahead, wishing she could've been a guard, unnoticed and out of sight.

Gulping nervously, she looked at the people beginning to arrive, hating everything about this plan. It had been a while since she'd even attempted such a routine. It was her thing she had with her mother, it's what kept them close. Doing the dance resurfaced memories she wished to be buried, but she reminded herself that this was for her, she'd be getting the answers she so desperately required soon. If it meant she had to do this then so be it, she could handle it.
