4: Ultrasound

"14 weeks pregnant... Have you been thinking about names?" Doctor Fords spoke, preparing his instruments. Izuku nervously shifted, trying to find a comfortable position to lay down in.

"Not really. Since we didn't know the gender, we didn't want to look for any right away." Katsuki responded, taking a seat in the chair, set next to the hospital bed. "But, after today, we'll know." He continued. He and Izuku had decided that they both wanted to learn their child's gender before birth, since they wanted to paint the nursery soon, but weren't sure what color. 

"I see. I'll also give you your due date, while we're at it. And... Do you want to hear the heartbeat?" The examiner continued, shifting to face the bed. The two nodded, earning a smile from the Beta. The man sat down on a stool, turning on what seemed to be an old television. Although, both boys knew it was the screen on which they were about to see their unborn child for the first time ever. 

"Okay, Midoriya. Can you lift up your shirt, please? And I'll need you to tug your jeans down just a bit. Down to your hips." The man spoke, taking some instruments into his hands. Izuku obeyed, slightly pushing down his pants, as well as taking his shirt off completely. 

"Good. Now, this'll be cold, so take a deep breath." Fords continued, approaching what seemed to be some sort of remote towards his stomach. As soon as Izuku was done inhaling, a cold sensation covered his stomach. He looked down, seeing a sort of oil spread across his abdomen. The remote was gently rubbing against him, in almost a pleasing way. It felt good- Almost like a massage. He didn't want it to end. 

"Okay... Here it is." The man spoke, breaking the silence. He pointed to the screen, where a peanut-shaped, white form was seen, over a sea of gray swirls. It wasn't too small, yet not too big. "As you can see, I've zoomed in, to see better. The sound is off, at the moment... So, I'll give you the gender first. Let's see...." The man continued to rub against the greenette's stomach. 

Izuku intertwined his fingers with his lover's, smiling widely. Although he never wanted this, he really enjoyed what was happening. He knew Bakugou loved it too, since a large smile was plastered across his face, just like him. 

"Ah... See, that's it." The man smiled, pointing an area on their child. The two leaned forward, trying to make out what it was. Of course, this made their examiner laugh. "It's a girl. If it were a boy, there would be something else, right here. Since there's nothing there, and there's this, it's a girl." The man continued, pointing across the screen. 

"A girl... I'm having a daughter." Izuku mumbled, smiling wide. 

"And now... Buckle up." Fords spoke, flicking a switch. Immediately, Izuku whined, tears filling his eyes. A loud, quick, thumping noise resonated through the room. The baby's heartbeat. It was loud, yet soft. Almost relaxing. 

The greenette scoffed in disbelief, feeling his Alpha's hand tighten around his. He could tell, Katsuki was enjoying this more than he was.
