Isabelle POV
Kinagabihan, Ion immersed himself working.
He didn't talk to anyone after what happened earlier in the office, kaya naisipan kong ipaghanda sya ng hapunan since its valentines day also.
I prepared his favorite Kare-kare at
umakyat na ako sa study room nya,He's just sitting there while reading some documents so I knocked twice before coming in dala ang hapunan na hinanda ko para sakanya.
"Nandito ka na pala" bungad nya.
He seems stressed out kaya inalok ko muna sya ng tubig. "Nagluto ako ng paborito mo" sabi ko't inabutan sya ng tubig.
"Thanks, but you really don't have to do this" he said and just ignored the water that I gave him kaya nilagay ko nalang ito sa mesa nya.
"Sana naman ay hindi mo na
problemahin ang nangyari sa project at sa panloloko ni James." I said and help him clear his table para makapag-dinner na sya.
"It doesn't really bother me. at
least tapos na yung project and we can't undo things so we just have to deal with it and live on." he said positively. I just agreed and smile.
"Yeah, live on"
"I actually found something and now,I wonder... Is it really James?" he said which made me froze in fear and accidentally dropped his fork.
11 hours earlier..
Ion's POV
After calling Ivee to book me a
flight, she immediately sent me my
flight details.
The boarding gate hasn't opened yet kaya naghintay ako sa lounge while re-arranging my meeting schedules.
A few minutes later, the boarding gate is already open when Ivee suddenly called me.
"Hello Ivee, thank you nga pala
for booking my flight" bungad ko
while preparing to board the plane.
"Your welcome sir, walang anuman."
"So bakit ka napatawag?" tanong ko naman.
"Sir.. ahmm.. do you really need
to go to Vigan now?" she said
hesitating.
"I don't see any reason why I
shouldn't bakit? may problema ba?"I said then I suddenly have a bad feeling about her call.
"I found something on the web and I think you should see it yourself Sir"she said so I immediately ended the call to check the link that she just sent me.
The research project which I thought is gone was launched three days ago and they named me as one of the contributors of the research and Isabelle as the leader.
Both of us wasn't able to attend the launch so they only attached our photos.
I realized that Ivee's right, it's not
convenient for me to go to Vigan
right now kaya agad akong bumalik sa office to see what's really going on so I hooked a car papunta sa office ko.
Bago ako makababa nang taxi, I saw Issa leaving in a rush.
Kailangan ko siyang kausapin agad kaya naisipan kong sundan sya at sakto namang tumawag si Ivee.
"Sir, kaka-alis lang ni Ms. Issa at
sabi nya si James daw ang puno't
dulo ng lahat and I think she's trying to go after him now" paliwanag naman ni Ivee.
Maybe that's why Issa is in a rush
right now, trying to fix this mess.
But I don't see any reason why James did it.
