Aria and her dad sat with the Wilkerson family as they watched the wrestling match, waiting for Reese’s turn.

“When’s Reese up?” Dewey asked his mom.

“I think he’s up next.” She replied.

Hal unrolled a sign and held it up, the words Go Reese sprawled across it. Lois whistled and the men cheered.

“You’re Reese’s parents?” A man in front asked them.

“They are not me.” Noah, Aria’s dad, quickly pointed to the couple.

“Why?”

“He’s incredible. I was at the last meet. His match was the turning point. He inspired the whole team.” The man smiled. Hal and Lois stared at him, waiting for the bad part.

“And?”

“Nothing. He’s great.”

“Thank. . .you.” Hal said slowly. It was still weird to hear people tell them positive things about Reese.

“Go team!” A boy in front shouted, his face painted the team colors.

“Thank you, Braveheart.” Malcolm said sarcastically, the kids around them laughed and Aria just ignored them.

“Where’s Reese? Shouldn’t he be warming up?” Lois questioned.

A few minutes later Reese walked out onto the mat and everyone cheered.

“Go, Reese!” They all shouted.

Across the gym a girl stood up from the bench and approached the mat, she was obviously Reese’s opponent.

“Uh-oh.” Hal mumbled.

“Well, that’s not fair. What do they expect him to do – beat up a girl?” Lois looked at them.

The match began and they all quickly cheered for Reese but were surprised when the girl started to win. Not that they were surprised about the girl, they were surprised that Reese was losing a fight in general. Hal rolled up his sign and when the fight was over Reese left with his head down, obviously not happy that he lost.

The next day everyone had heard about Reese losing his wrestling match to a girl. Aria sat with the girls so that they could go over their plans for the band and the topic of Reese’s match came up.

“How bad do you think Reese is going to be now that he lost a match?” Jane asked.

“Honestly, he’ll probably do whatever it takes to prove he’s still on top or something.” Aria shrugged.

“I can’t believe he lost. Doesn’t he have years of experience in beating people up?” Emma asked.

“You guys should’ve seen it. She was tossing him around like a sack of potatoes.” Aria bit into her sandwich.

“Here he comes.” Maggie nodded behind Aria causing them to all turn his way.

Reese walked with his lunch tray before a kid accidentally knocked into him making him spill his lunch on himself. Everyone stopped and held their breaths as they waited to see what Reese would do. Reese noticed everyone staring at him and sneered at them.

“You want something to look at?!” He shouted as he threw down his now empty tray. “I’ll give you something to look at!”

He climbed onto a table and grabbed two cartons of chocolate milk, and poured the milk over his head. He screamed like a maniac before he jumped down and walked away.
