Nobody's POV
El was screaming and crying.
Something was inside her leg.
Erica: What is that?
Ro: There must be something in her leg.
Jonathan: Keep talking, keep her awake okay!
Jonathan runs to a food court in kitchen.
He grabs a wooden spoon, a sharp knife. and heats it. He also puts on a pair of gloves.
Mike: Let's get her on the side, on this side.
We all then gently move her to the side.
Mike: Easy, easy, careful.
Robin: You know it's actually not that bad. There was a... the goalie on my soccer team, Beth Wildfire, this other girl slid into her leg, and the whole bone came out of her knee, six inches or something, it was insane-
Steve: Robin.
Robin: Yeah?
Steve: You're not helping.
Robin: I'm sorry.
Jonathan comes back with the wooden spoon and heated knife.
Jonathan: All right, El? This is gonna hurt like hell, okay?
El: Okay.
She said still in pain.
Jonathan: I need you to stay real still. Here, you're gonna want to bite down on this, okay?
Jonathan gives the wooden spoon to El and she bites it down.
Jonathan then gets the sharp knife near El's leg.
Dustin: Holy shit.
Mike: Do it.
Jonathan cuts El's leg, and El screams.
It was not a pleasing thing to look at.
Then Jonathan used his hands (with gloves), and digs it inside El's leg.
El screams louder, and everyone groans in disgust.
Nancy: Jonathan!
Jonathan: Stop talking!
Jonathan digs deeper, and that's when El has had enough.
She spits out the spoon and tells him to stop.
El: No! Stop it!
Nancy: Stop!
Jonathan stops and gets his hand out of El's leg.
El: I can do it. I can do it.
El slowly sits up, and tries to use her powers to remove whatever was in her leg.
El: God! God! Ahhh!
She screams again, but so loud the glass window breaks, and they all ducked down.
El finally got it out, and it was a piece of the mind flayer.
She throws it across the floor, but it was still alive and was about to escape, until someone smashed it with their shoe.
Everyone looks up to see it was Hopper, Joyce, and Murray.

Mike: The mind flayer, it build this monster in Hawkins to stop El, to kill her and pave a way into our world.
Nancy: And it almost did. That was just a tiny piece of it.
Hopper: How big is this thing?
Jonathan: It's big.
