Haiku's: My rants and the 3lined beauties.

35 4 5

Okay so I saw this poetry writing contest given out by Romance and it was for a specific type of (romantic) poetry writing called "Haiku" now I couldn't enter because the deadline is over, and I'm not really familiar, but it is something new and I take it as self challenge...

Now Haiku is a Japanese format where the poetry consists of 3 lines and the line to word ratio will be:

1st line - 5 words

2nd line - 7 words

3rd line - 5 words

I know its kind of confusing but this example might help.

I look at the moon (5)
Thinking about us, our love, our live (7)
I couldn't ask for more. (5)

I'm really excited about this but now I'll stop talking, Because I dont want this to be hundred pages long :P

Caution: Really cheesy stuff ahead.

Oh and I really think this is an amazing way if u wanna be romantic n poetic for your significant other, I meant isn't it perfect, Its easy to write, Its sweet and it can make your beloved smile... I'm not much into mushy stuff but I'll definitely use it to my advantage when I'll get a Boyfriend, *sigh.

OK I'm 100% shutting up here, plz scroll down.

---------**------

H1
Sweet nothings we talk about,
Drowning helplessly in each other 's expressive eyes,
Time is our only anchor.

H2
His embrace is just enough
To fight the demons of my heart
No warrior is so brave.

H3
My heart's but an organ,
But they're for you, all those beats
Each says I love you.

Uuff!! U might think 3 liners are easy-peasy, but let me tell u dear, these are damn difficult, u have to make sense and u also need to careful with the word limit...

its my first experience and its not perfect but I guess that's not too bad, considering, Haiku is an art that needs to be practised.

And um... I cheated!! well... About the 17 word format, if you closely at all the apostrophes, you'll notice I've squished 2 words into 1, but since I'm a novice I hope I'all be forgiven and um...

since I'm rambling again, I'll just sign out and spare u folks.

Plz lemme know what u think in the comments below, vote it if u like it and do try your hand at Haiku...

Its fun.

REMEMBER, VOTE COMMENT SHARE!!

love,
Sumaya...

Sayonara everyone...
