Crossroads

I could walk ahead or i could turn back,

but i was unaware of my route,

Hence Im standing at crossroads

from near and far travellers have come,

and merchants have gone by,

they knew their way;

thus nothing else to say!

but i am left clueless, having to seek directions from the sky.

Famished and weary, with blistered feet,

no place for shelter, nothing to eat,

I walked on from street to street.

Unknowing of where my destination is,

unable to reach my abode

fatigued, alone and scared

I came to stop at the crossroads

emotions have been left along the path,

like the sweat and tears I shed

nobody there to lead my way

do I turn back or go ahead?

Years have gone fleeting by

and I still stare up at the sky,

neither have I a home nor a goal,

I live a vagabond's life at the crossroads....

**the end**

I found this in my old FB notes.

p.s the concept and the title dont match, and neither do I relate to the

poem...

I like to think of it as a fleeting thought captured :p
