This is a marketplace
We'd set up a bargain,
I'd sell all my dreams
And buys all your heartaches...
And this is the way it's supposed to go...
Haven't they let you know?
This is where love is overpriced,
do you hear?
The air rings with inaudible cries
Haven't they put up a show?
Of treachery and lies.
Oh! Haven't they let you know!!
When the night shall fall,
I know you'll keep awake
Plotting and scheming
My heart knows its about to break.
Because this is where love is overpriced,
To render you helpless,
Its a trick, devised.
this is where they'll snatch you're soul
To torment you, is their desired goal...
Haven't they let you know?
You're nothing but a plaything
Which can be discarded as pleased
Haven't they let you know?
Because this is how its meant to go,
Trust me sweetheart,
Love is overpriced
Too many promises
That aren't worth a dime...
Proven time and time...
Trust this when I say, Love is overpriced.
This a market place
