3rd person POV
selene had gone to bed that night with an actual smile on their face and beetle in their arms. he laid his head on their chest as selene slept tiredly and stayed asleep. they didn't hear their phone going off and they didn't hear their bedroom door opening and closing . they didn't hear anything anyone said as they slept calmly and peacefully. they were in a dreamland of life and they were comfortable there
"psst selene" someone said as they shook them awake. selene groaned and rolled over in their bed as the person laughed
"come on sel wake up" they exclaimed and selene sat up as they rubbed the sleep out of their eyes and looked at tory
"morning" selene groaned and tory smiled at them
"hi" tory said and she kissed selenes forehead before she sat a tray of food on selenes bed and selene looked at it
"this is sweet" selene spoke and tory smiled
"i have to go but i'll be back later, i love you sel" she said and she kissed her one last time before she got up and left selenes room. selene ate the bacon , eggs and pancakes that tory made with a smile on their face
they looked at beetle and smiled before they moved the tray to their desk and laid back down. they grabbed their laptop from next to them and opened it as they watched videos of themselves and the fight
"what happened to you sel?" selene said to themselves and they closed their laptop as they stared at the ceiling until they heard the doorbell rang and they got up out of bed
they looked around before they walked to the balcony and opened the curtain to let the sun in. they opened their bedroom door and walked downstairs to see tory's little brother in the doorway talking to somebody
"hey, who is it?" selene asked and he opened the door wider for selene to see hawk standing there
"hey sel, who is this?" hawk asked and selene smiled as brandon stepped aside
"this is brandon, he's tory's brother" selene stated and hawk nodded as he walked in and selene looked at brandon
"have you given your mom here meds yet?" selene asked and brandon nodded
"tory did before she left" he said and he hugged selenes legs as hawk looked down at him and then up at selene
"i'll be in your room waiting" hawk said and selene nodded as hawk walked away and selene kneeled down as they looked down at him and made eye contact
"be honest with me buddy , how are you doing?" selene asked and they walked over to the couch and sat down. he laid his head down in their lap and sighed
"i miss tory , i hate that i can't help my mom" he said and selene sighed
"you're ten years old buddy all you can do is be there and support her. me and tory will continue to do what we have to for your mom but you can't worry" Selene said and he nodded as he got up and smiled at them
"thank you for loving my sister" he said and selene smiled
"don't thank me, i'm happy that she's in my life brandon" selene spoke and they got up from the couch as he walked to his moms room and selene walked upstairs. they looked at hawk who sat on their bed and they walked over to sit next to him
"so what's up?" selene asked and hawk looked around as he looked at beetle who sat on the ground in front of the bed and he sighed
"i was worried about you after yesterday, thought something might have happened between you and tory" he said and selene sighed
"it's almost like nothing happened between us and i don't know. i love her hawk but i don't know if being with her is a good idea anymore" selene said and hawk sighed
"but you love her. you have never let yourself be happy , everyone knows that. especially i do" he spoke and selene sighed
"you know i did love you, our relationship wasn't a good one though" they stated and he nodded
"i know that max was a rebound after me and with what he did to you? i know that i was horrible, all you ever wanted was to be happy selene but it's never enough for you" he said and selene sighed
"nobody ever stays eli, they don't stick around , i don't let myself fall in love or trust people easily but tory makes it easy. i'm happy with them and that scares me" they exclaimed and he nodded
"i get it sel, you're on emotions have always scared you but you have to let yourself be happy. i know that i'm not the only person who had told you that" he said and selene sighed
"yeah you're not the first person who's told me that eli but do i really deserve to be happy?" selene asked and hawk scoffed
"after everything you've gone through, of course you deserve it selene. you deserve it a lot more then other people" he said and then selenes phone went off as well as hawks. they both opened their phones and looked at the texts
"let's go" selene said and they left the house as they drove to the miyagi dog dojo and walked in. they looked around as they noticed everyone else standing there waiting
"hey" selene said and they all stood there waiting before they heard the door and looked up to see johnny
"selene" he said and he walked forward as he hugged them and they hugged him back. they knew everything and even though they hadn't had much time to talk , he was there for her no matter what.
sam and robby walked inside as they all stayed outside and waited . the door opener and out walked daniel with amanda's and sam
"you're not alone anymore. so what do you say dad, will you fight?" san asked and selene looked at everyone as they all smiled and looked at daniel with a smile on their face. they all bowed to daniel, johnny and chozen and they bowed back
it was the start of a new era
