Work friend more like foe ✘ Milo

"We're almost there stop being a baby." Milo said eyes looking at you then back to the road
"I'm not being a baby, but we've been driving for like 30 minutes." You said sighing sinking into your seat.
He chuckled, then noticed your distressed face

"Hey, uh sweetheart?," you looked to him in acknowledgment. ,"are you okay? You've seemed a little off today." He said placing his hand on your thigh

"Uh yeah I guess. It's just, the department gave me a rookie to look after, this little bratty college kid, he's so annoying I swear. And I have to look after him and let him help me with cases, he's just really annoying." You said letting out a sigh

"Oh I'm sorry sweetheart.why did uh. Why did they make you look after him?" He asked looking back and forth at you and the road

"I dunno. They said 'EvErY oNe HaS AcTuaL wOrK tO dO.' Or something like that. As if I don't actually work or something." You said mumbling the last part

"I'm sorry sweetheart." Milo said "it's not your fault,no need to apologize ." You said nonchalantly

You two arrived at (favorite restaurant)
You looked at the restaurant and smiled and then looked at milo and smiled

"We uh- we haven't had a proper date night in a while. And you had a rough day so I though
We could go here tonight." He said with a loving smile on his face

You blushed. Before you met milo you never blushed no matter how many relationships you've been in nobody made you blush.It was insane what he could do to you. He was just so unexplainably perfect..To you anyway

Cos you were blushing you could barely get the words out.

"Tha-thanks milo." You said trying to hide your face, he could read you like a book, and he laughed.

"Okay c'mon let's head inside." He said patting your head twice as a notion that you guys were done with that interaction.

You unbuckled but before you could open your door milo had already done it for you. It was back. Your blush.

"After you." Milo said with a grin. You mentally slapped your forehead "thanks."

You 2 walked into the restaurant.

"Hello good evening,I'm Maggie I'll be your server tonight Table for 2?" She asked grabbing 2 menus

"Yes.thank you."

As you 2 were walking to your table you spotted a
Familiar face. You gulped it was the bratty collage kid.

"shit." You muttered under your breath. "What was that?" Milo said sitting down next to you. "Nothing." You said patting his knee with a fake smile

7 minutes later

"Hi, can I get you guys started with some drinks?" The server said pulling out her pad to write things down.

"I'll have water please." You said "iced tea please." Milo said looking back up at the waitress "sweet or no?" She asked looking to milo "no, thank you."

"That'll be right out."

You were looking around and accidentally made eye contact with (I feel like he needs a name) August and he grinned and stood up.

You immediately looked away. Hoping. Praying. Begging in your head that he just had to use the restroom or something.

"Hiya bossman/woman.." August said with a shit eating grin

"Hello, August." You said sternly not looking him in his eyes.

"Just to let you know, I redid the papers you sent in they were all wrong." You clenched your fist
You Had spent hours on those and he just redid them? You felt tears well up in your eyes, you were going to have to re do them again, stay up late again 
And leave milo in bed alone again.

"You just redid all the papers that I spent hours on mindlessly in front of a computer,And you just redid them?" You almost punched him right then and there. Milo put his hand on your thigh as a notion to not hurt him

But milo glared at  him, his blood boiling, who dare hurt his sweetheart..

"They were wrong." He said smirking

"Your just a stupid college kid what would you know?." You rolled your eyes, tears going back in, not falling from your eyes as you took a hefty sigh.

"Hmph. Whatever." He walked away scoffing

"asshole." Milo muttered, and rolled his eyes as August walked away

After dinner while you and milo are in the car

"I'm sorry sweetheart." Milo said holding your hand caressing your hand with his thumb.

You let out a sigh. "I-it's fine. I'll just fix them when we get home." He nodded, he knew if he told you to not you wouldn't sleep all night just thinking about your work. Then you'd get even less sleep, and he didn't want that for you.

He gave a quick kiss opened the car door for you and you 2 drove home.

"Hey," he started. You looked to him ," I love you.okay?" He stated. You smiled. You loved milo Greer more then you could fathom, more then words could describe. "I-I love you to, Milo.." you smiled and blushed again while thanking god it was dark and he couldn't see your rosy red cheeks."
