Forgot ✘ Asher Part 2

( Asher's pov)

"Baabe?" I gently knocked on the door, hoping to hear my partners response.
Instead of words I just heard soft sobs slipping through their mouth.
"Aw, baabe.." I mumbled under my breath. my heart hurt. I hated when they cried, when they cry I wanna cry.

"I-i just thought that m-maybe you'd remember, but you didn't, a-and I'm sorry for yelling at you.." They said wiping tears from their face and look up me.
Gorgeous eyes.
I sighed
"Baabe, don't-don't say that, I didn't mean to forget- and obviously that doesn't make it any better, But I'm really really really, sorry baabe." I looked down, ashamed,  that I, had made the love of my life cry, about something as important as an anniversary.

As a break from my train of thoughts, baabe hugged me, chin rested on my shoulder, fingers tightly clenched onto my shirt, which honestly probably smelt like, sweat, and pizza, but that's not the point. I'd hugged them back,
"Do you wanna watch a movie, or something babe? You can pick." I questioned to the sniffly person, still latched onto me, who didn't say anything, they just nodded,
I managed to mumble an "ok."
Suddenly i picked them up, making sure both their legs were on either side of me as I held them close to my chest,
"Alright baabe, let's go.."

10:32pm.
Baabe, laid on Asher chest legs on both sides of him, while he gently rubbed their back, and lightly kjsssd their head, while they adjusted themselves. As they were watching a good classic movie, Edward scissor hands. Baabe had opened their mouth to speak.
"D- did you like your present?" Guilt struck Asher's heart once more. He didn't get them a present and he felt bad,
"Of course baabe, and- and I'm sorry I didn't get you anything, but me and you can go to that butterfly house you really like tomorrow, if ya want- I know how much you like that.."
they smiled and nodded, happy that ash liked the present, and happy that he remembered what they enjoyed doing.
"I love you, baabe."
"Love you too, Asher."
