You fought me hard
It was a good game
And how you came from nowhere
Just blew me away
I was so close
I tried not to lose
But you beat me straight
And he left with you
But what did you win
But a man who's never there
Except when he's beating you
Or telling you what to wear
He has other lovers
And don't care if you know
Cause if you have a problem
Then you're free to go
He gets a real bad temper
When he drinks all though the night
And then he comes home to you
Ready for a fight
And at night when you're crying
He's sound asleep
Leaving you all by yourself
To lay alone and weep
I do what I want to
Whenever I please
And there's never been another man who tells me when he cheats
I don't come home shaking
Or leave with black eyes
And I don't have to act
Like I believe his lies
I'm doing good now
And how the hell are
I completely understand
I lived with him once too
It really was a great game
Fighting over him
You say that I lost
But what did you win?
