TO: MY LOVE RICHARD.
I WROTE THIS FOR YOU.
My knight in shining armor
Has been waiting all day long
Hoping I would round the corner
And sing him a song
I should have gone to him first
I should have at least tried
Now, he treats me like a queen
Although I don't know why
Then I finally found him
There was something to say
I declared my love to him
Hoping he won't turn away
He reached out touched my hair
I began to shiver
Then he took his jacket off
And wrapped me around it as I quivered
And now here we are.
"You're still such a charmer.
I'll love you forever, my love.
My Knight and Shining Armor."
I stopped writing poetry some years back. This is the FIRST poem I've written in like 10 years. I can tell I've gotten a bit rusty, but hey, it happens.
