POV Izuku! Midoriya

The silence after my words is deafening. I look up to see Allmight has his hands over his mouth as he silently laughs, a little bit of dust falling from his hand. I'm too scared to move and say anything.

'Is he laughing at me or about the question? It can't be me right?!'

He stops after a few coughs of dust and blood. His face in a grimace. Allmight stares into my very soul. And says in a cruel tone.

"You need to be more realistic, without powers one can not become a hero. You can not be a hero. Be something like a doctor or whatever."

He gets up and leaves me on the roof alone. Just me. The wind. My thoughts. The pain. The screams. The ridicule. All of it. I suddenly find myself on the ledge of the building. I can only stare down at the sidewalk, empty.

'What's going on? Why can't I move?'

As I feel my body move to take a step forward something rips me from the ledge and to the floor of the roof quickly and forcefully. I hear the static again but words are there this time.

With the static still there, my head became clear. I was just about to jump off a building. I was going to die! I get up slowly in shock.

I stare off into the distance seeing smoke slowly rise to the air. I don't need Allmight's validation. I will become a hero one way or another. I start my trek home as I do. I notice a villain attack going on.
