152. Victoria's Secret

This is inspired by the songs Roses by Alyssa Reid and Victoria's Secret by JAX.

Girl's name is Victoria.

The story can go one of two ways:
1.
-girl has been killed but can't remember much of the actual event itself or the events leading up to it
-somehow connects to someone who can see and talk to ghosts and who agrees to help figure out how she died
->her death is currently under investigation bc the way she was found looks like a suicide but girl is convinced she wouldn't kill herself
—>so they're really looking for the person who killed her and framed the whole thing
-ends up being her boyfriend who was (to everyone but girl) clearly toxic and abusive but she had been brainwashed into believed he really did love and care for her, twisting her memories to set her against family and friends
->that's why she never considered him as a suspect
**she was killed in a way that the wounds on her body could've been self inflicted or recent (not ones that happened when she died but days prior) or they could be from another person (ie. she was murdered)
->something like bruises on her neck and the broken bone that usually symbolizes strangulation, except she was found having hung herself so maybe that's what caused the strangulation (idk it's kinda hard to explain)
-eventually they figure it out (with or without help of the cops) and boyfriend gets locked away and girl is able to move on and properly pass on to the afterlife and books ends on a kinda sad yet happy note

OR

2.
-girl is not dead yet and is currently going through the abusive/ toxic relationship
->this is very much not something I feel I can write as I have no connection to this and feel it needs to be handled delicately
-somehow meets other person that starts to see the signs and (through a very long time) starts to try to convince girl this isn't right and she needs help
->with girl fighting them the whole way bc this is how it's always been and boyfriend loves me and everyone else doesn't, blah blah blah....
-ends with boyfriend figuring out what they're doing and killing the girl in such a way it could look like suicide
->possibly even making it look like friend (who was helping girl to see the light this whole time) was the main reason she ended her life

And I just had this thought now, but if boyfriend gave friend some serious head trauma they could forget most, if not all, of what they and girl has gone through. Then option 1. could happen as a second book when the characters try to piece back together what happened. Only problem is the reader knows exactly what happened... so there would be no reason to read about it again. Idk.

Maybe the identity of the friend and girl could be kept secret but that seems like a ton of work just for the reader to figure out at the end it was the same two characters they read about in the book before....

Anyway, that's all for today. What do you guys think? Either of these options I would love to read, so if anyone is writing them or has suggestions of books with similar themes or plots, please message me and I'll check them out :)

Question for today:

What's the most amazing physical feat you've managed to pull off?

Kyla :)
