"Your daughter is really beautiful." Some lady said beside me as I walked around kids footlocker looking for baby shoes.

"Thank you." I smiled, glancing down at Diara who was fast asleep.

I pushed her pacifier back in her mouth, knowing she would get fussy soon if she didn't have it. I watched her as she turned in the stroller for a moment before she stopped moving.

My phone started ringing in my pocket and I stopped, rolling my eyes. I put in my airpod in and grabbed my phone out the stroller.

"Hello?" I said, looking down at the facetime.

"Hey, are you coming by later?" Dalton asked with a hopeful look on his face. "Cia misses you."

"Cia can't even talk, Dalton." I rolled my eyes, seeing her lay her back on his chest and swing her hands in the air.

"Fine, but can you stop by later?"

"I'll think about it. Was that all?" I frowned, looking back down at Di.

"Where's Di?"

Instead of answering, I flipped the camera and pointed it at a now awake Diara. I smiled at her and she smiled back, showing off her gums.

"Hey, princess." I grinned, tickling her little stomach as she happily kicked her feet.

"I'll talk to you later." I said, hanging up before he could respond.

Aspen sighed as she continued pushing the stroller towards the exit of footlocker

Aspen sighed as she continued pushing the stroller towards the exit of footlocker. She was in no mood to shop anymore after seeing him again.

Dalton sighed as he tossed his phone down on the couch. Aspen had been staying with her sister for the week and he knew she was pissed at him.

But he couldn't tell her why he was hanging out with that girl so late at night.

He didn't want to ruin the surprise he had been planning for her.

The truth was, Dalton had been thinking after Aspen gave birth. He thought about their future together and he realized she was it for him.

He didn't want anyone else and he wanted to finalize that. He wanted to make sure that everyone knew his heart belonged to her and nobody else.
