105. Her Only Fear (Minji)

For those of you who don't know her, this story will be my first oneshot for Kim Minji, a member of the group NewJeans, who debuted just recently. That said, this is also going to be the first story request for their group. Hope you like it.

"This is it, Minji-ah. Are you sure about this?"

"Come on, Y/N. How many times do you have to ask me that question? This place is nothing compared to the jet coaster we rode earlier."

"Yah, I'm just making sure, you know. They don't call this attraction 'The House Of 100 Horrors' for nothing. Did you know that one visitor actually collapsed halfway through? I just don't want that to happen to you."

"That's very considerate of you. But don't worry, I'll be okay. Besides, I think the real reason why you're worried is because you might lose our dare, isn't it? Come on, just admit it."

"That's....okay you got me. Still, don't say I didn't warn you. But since you already made up your mind, then let's go inside."

"Sure. Thanks for worrying about me though, really."

"Y-yeah. But I really hope that you'll get scared this time."

"Hmph. We'll see."

Just like that, you and your girlfriend Kim Minji entered the haunted house, one of the key attractions of the amusement park that you visited today.

It was a pre-planned date that the two of you agreed on, and it comes with a little twist.

Minji agreed that if by some way, she will feel scared by one of the attractions there, then she will buy you something for you next weekend. But if not, then you'll have to treat her to somewhere nice before the day ends.

It was a pretty bold decision for you to agree on, especially since you know that she's the type who would shrug off anything that might scare someone. That trait of hers made you feel a bit daunted for some reason.

However, despite you thinking that the haunted house was your best chance against her, your plan horribly backfired.

All she did was either laugh at the people disguised as monsters and ghouls, or feel disappointed at the other horror props inside the house.

By the time you both got out, it was pretty clear that she had won decisively, with you having to suffer another penalty for losing against her.

"See? I told you that place has got nothing on me. Looks like you lose again, Y/N."

"Yeah, yeah, I get it. You win, I lose. Looks like my wallet is fated to suffer again this week. I feel really sad right now."

Minji saw your gloomy face, as she felt a bit of pity towards you. Hoping to cheer you up a bit, she gave you a kiss on your cheek, making you blush.

"Don't be sad. I know you did your best to think of something that'll scare me, Y/N. But I'm sorry to disappoint you. I'm just the type of girl who never gets unfazed by anything. Maybe that's why you like me so much, hehe."

"Are you trying to cheer me up, or you're just bragging about how cool you are?"

"A bit of both. Still, I won again. As the victor, I would like for you to treat me to the new ice cream shop I saw just a few days ago. I'll guide us there."
