"... therefore I announce to the people of Poland that I will guide you and our brothers and sisters in faith from Japan as the newly appointed Pope of the Catholic Church, John Paul II." The newly appointed Pope ended his speech in unusual circumstances from the wall of a 15th century monastery strongly etched in Polish History.

After all, from the victory at Jasna Gora began the Polish counterattack to drive the Swedes out of Poland.

What is more important August 15th is a day doubly important for Poles. On that day was won the Battle of Warsaw in 1920 and it is also a Catholic holiday of the Assumption of Virgin Mary, also known as the Queen of Poland, which was conferred here by King Jan Kazimierz.

And this day is also considered the symbolic beginning of Christianity in Japan when Francis Xavier and his companions landed in Kagoshima in 1549.

Unusual situations require unusual solutions. And so Karol Wojtyła, known to the world as John Paul II, who was then a Polish Cardinal, was proclaimed Pope by acclamation...

The choice was pretty obvious to anyone who looked at the Catholic Church, the Japanese bishops already knew him and informed the Polish bishops who would be the next pope after Paul VI.

So they decided that if God had called him to be Pope, why not make him Pope three years earlier?

Therefore, on August 15, after a year-long Council on what to do in the New World and how to do God's will in the obvious interference of God, which in passing caused the Churches to begin to fill up even with hitherto Communist-Materialists.

Even the First Secretary himself, along with the government, began to attend Mass a few months after the transfer. What is more, the official policy of Atheization was not only withdrawn, but even better, such organizations were dissolved by a resolution of the Sejm of the People's Republic of Poland and forbidden to create new ones in the face of obvious evidence of the error of such a policy.

Which did not prevent a wave of protests throughout the country, well I exaggerated a little, a few groups of protesting anti-theists in major Polish cities such as Krakow, Warsaw, Gdansk and Katowice.

All the rest of the atheists turned out suddenly! God-fearing Catholics and that all the time they were for the faith and the church but they were afraid to fall into disrepute with the authorities. You can see that when you are in trouble, you go to God. Although it must be said that they were never really atheists, it was just more convenient for them, isn't it obvious?

Especially about his Catholic upbringing and the fact that he went to Catholic school, Mr. General Jaruzelski remembered. So he quickly introduced the Field Ordinariate for the People's Army of Poland and began to bow to the Primate of Poland, Stefan Wyszynski.

The Primate, however, could not be easily bribed, he accepted his conversion with satisfaction, as befits a decent priest, but looked at his hands. He looked very carefully at his hands, full of the blood of the faithful Poles.

Sam doubted how many of these hitherto rationalists were seriously converted; he did not doubt that there might be quite a few, but to quote the relevant passage "By their fruits ye shall know them."

Well, Gierek gave his gifts to the Church at once, suddenly all problems with building churches and chapels in the whole country disappeared, all religious actions suddenly started to be supported by schools, law enforcement services and government organizations, and what is most important, the return of church property seized by the Communist Government began.
