Chapter 16 Netherlands beat Japan
Esmeralda and Vivanne was getting ready it was 9am. They both were going to the game against Japan. The match starts at 12.30pm. Vivanne left first and got on to the coach that was taking them to the stadium. As Vivanne was leaving Esmeralda gave her a kiss and wished her luck.
Esmeralda had a ticket in the VIP Lounge. It was a sell out crowd.
Esmeralda had a gut feeling that she was going to see her wife win and get into the last round of 16.
Esmeralda was sitting in her seat and was waiting for the game to start.
Their Starting lineup is; Jacinth Weimar in Goal, Defenders Stefaine van der Gragt, Merel van Dongen, Kerstin Caspariji, Dominique Janssen. Midfielders Danielle van de Donk, Jill Rood, Jackie Groenen. Stricker Vivanne Midema, Lieke Martens, Romee Leuchter. Substitutes Daphne van Domselaar, Lynn Williams Caitlin Dijkstra, Victoria Pelova, Damaris Egurrola, Lineth Beerensteyn, Renate Jansen
Esmeralda was cheering with the rest of the stadium when the final whistle went they did it. The Netherlands are through to the last 16. They won 1-0 with Vivanne scoring the only game.
Esmeralda was a proud wife.
They had 3 days off before they werw back at the stadium doing it all again. Esmeralda made her way down the tunnel and met with Vivanne. The netherlands were celebrating their win.
