Sam was just sleeping on the couch of The Milano as everyone did something in their spare time before reaching Knowhere Sam mistakenly thought they were going NOwhere but they clarified that Knowhere is an actual place so he just shrugged and let Peter handle the navigation since he's the captain of the ship.
They finally arrived at Knowhere and he saw a giant big head floating in the middle of... nowhere.
"Huh, it makes sense for once." He thought out loud as they docked.
Everyone had fun in Knowhere... well Drax, Rocket, and Sam were the only ones as they bid on a space chicken fight but with other alien animals.
"I'LL TELL YA!! IF I HAD NUGGETS OUT HERE... HE WOULD'VE... D.O.N.E - FUCKED ALL OF YOUR ASSES!" He said drunkenly as he drank more of the blue alcohol liquid as Peter and Gamora spent some time together.
They're having their cute moments together as they bonded with Peter making his witty jokes as Gamora learns to laugh at them. It was a cute moment to see as Sam was inside while they didn't notice him, crying comically until he started banging on the window like a maniac, something about "When is it my turn?!" as Gamora was snapped out of her trance and tried to choke him for "playing tricks on her" and then once Peter noticed what's going on inside, they rushed in and in they saw Sam crying like a baby as Drunk Drax was fighting Groot as Peter broke up the fight by using his talking skills. Drax just storms off as Peter is about to chase after him but Gamora stops him because she's fed up with the brute. Then, it's time to settle Drunk Sam as he crouches at his level.
"Hey, buddy!"
"Oh... hey, Pete." He said sadly and sniffled.
"You okay?"
"No, I just miss Earth is all... my friends... peeps... Hell, I don't even get a girlfriend yet and YOU ALREADY GOT ONE FALLING FOR YOU!!" He complained and cried again.
"Hey, hey, hey! Look, there's plenty of fish in the sea! There's gonna be alot of girls waiting for you back on Earth after we're done with this!"
"Are... are you sure?" He asked
"Yes, I'm sure. Now, come on, let's go meet the buyer." He said and helped him up.
"Ok..." he said drunkenly.
They arrived at the location and were met by the guy's assistant... rather slave asked them to follow her to The Collector. After following her, they saw tons of beings trapped in their glass cage by The Collector as they guessed he does collect stuff, even if that stuff is alive. They present him the goods as he examines the orb thoroughly to be sure that it's the real deal, Once he did that, he places the orb into a contraption that unlocks what's inside the orb which is a glowing purple stone. Everyone even the drunk Sam stared at it in such awe.
The Collector then explained the origins of The Infinity Stones and then they were talking about how they were going to get paid when suddenly, Sam got out of his drunken stupor and noticed the assistant trying to grab the stone for herself.
"I WILL NO LONGER BE YOUR SLAVE!"
"HEY, WAIT!" Sam shouted as The Assistant grabbed the stone and all hell broke loose while Sam, the gang, and The Collector took cover.
After that explosion, everyone was freaked out by the power of the purple stone. He was worried about what was going to happen now. Of course, Peter was thinking about how they were getting paid and that wasn't going to fly over Gamora which caused her to hate him for being so selfish but before she was about to run off somewhere, Ronan and his gang arrived. Sam tried to help but was thrown away by a mysterious force and now he was faced with someone.
"Ahh, shit." he cursed as he recognize who that is.
