Chapter 7

Most of Rose's disappearances were for her to get to dance, read a book or two and spend time alone, it was never a moment of sadness but more some alone time with no work or anyone to bother her with anything.

This time, it was different. It was lonely, so lonely she hated it, her only company was the tears coming out of her eyes all along, she spent the whole time in bed crying and hating herself in a beautiful hotel room in Djerba, the only place no one will ever think she'd be at.

Deep down Rose knew sooner or later she'd break up with Stan, she knew, their relationship was good but only on an extern vision, she knows he was trying but he wasn't the kind to stay with you because she can't sleep from her period's cramps, or rewatch with her a tv show just because she felt the need to or even cook with her and call to say nothing. He wasn't all of that, she started thinking they were wrong in this relationship, they were good friends, they had good sex and they thought that it could be a working relationship but guess not. But what hurts her more was, she doesn't know how to deal with it. How should she feel now that she discovered his cheating and lies!

Rose was used to having her mind constantly occupied by everything, she is a big over-thinker! And with everything in her life before summer, her studies and work she was used to the overwhelmedness. But now it was just too much.

What was occupying her mind was, what she should do with Marley! She does want to be with him, she does want to share her life with this man but what if her disappearance made him think she was hiding from him! she doesn't want it to happen! She can't accept another moment without him, they wasted a lot of years! And that's when it hit her, she wanted to be with him, she wanted him to be her partner. And she knew she had to go back, find him and fight for him if she had to. I guess when you wait for something for years, 7 years in this case, the freaking out part is necessary. But one thing is sure, she truly wants to make this right.

And at that specific moment she just turned on her phone and called Marley right away.She was hoping it wasn't too late."Marley! Hi! I missed you!" It felt like old times, when she called him out of nowhere, but this time she was scared, 'what if he is mad at me?' This thought didn't leave her till she heard his voice. "Rose! Hi!' he replied in a worried voice 'How are you! And before you say anything I want you to know that I'm not mad at you and I get why you did what you did!" Hearing his words made her feel relieved and she didn't know what to say, "Can you come get me from the airport in one hour! And no questions asked now!" "Deal!" he replied happily, "I love you" and she hung up before he had the time to reply, one second later he recalled "I love you too ace!" This nickname is special to her, it's from Gilmore girls, one of her favorite tv shows and the first time he called her that was the day they had their first kiss.
