"I HAVE NEVER PULLED A PRANK BEFORE," Serena admitted a bit sheepishly, although Loki didn't seem to mind as he lead her down the halls of the palace, guiding her through shortcuts she hadn't known existed.

"You are just a book of firsts. —It is tremendous fun but I must warn you now if you ruin my plan I will never associate with you again." He jokingly advised in his most serious tone, although the menace behind his words was quickly lost behind the smile he could not shake.

"So were you planning on telling me why you want to break into Forseti's room and not your father's?" Continued Loki, "I mean, I have no qualms with the idea, I am simply curious."

"I guess I do owe you an explanation, it just feels too difficult to say." Serena sighed and checked over both her shoulders before dipping her voice to a whisper, "If you find yourself thinking I'm crazy I beg you to spare me those thoughts, but do you remember the day you took me to the meadow?"

Loki had to bite his tongue to contain himself from saying anything brash. He had thought of that day a few more times than he would care to admit, and perhaps even fantasized about what might have happened if his mother hadn't sent someone to fetch him. Nodding his head he uttered a quick, "Yes, of course," while scratching the back of his neck uncomfortably.

Serena continued, "Before we went when Forseti was introducing himself —"

Loki rolled his eyes, cutting her off in a cynical tone, "That would be phrasing it rather lightly, don't you think? He behaved like a vulture, but go on."

She flashed him a weak glare, "Alright, well when the vulture introduced himself," Loki smiled. She continued, "I saw a scrap of paper poking out of his sleeve. I could not make out much but I could see one word and it reminded me of something... for the longest time I could not figure out what but now I think I do. I think it was part of my mother's story... which is why I originally asked you to help me find it."

"I apologize that I haven't been of much help lately. I swear I did not forget my promise."

"No, you have helped me enough. We looked through nearly hundreds of books and none of them felt even remotely close. I believe I wasted your time."

"I would not say wasted," Loki assured, his eyes slightly connecting with hers before looking away again. "Well, you certainly have created sufficient suspense. Go on, tell me."

Mind blank, she hummed a "Hmm?" in reply.

"What did this piece of paper say? I'm chomping at the bit."

"Right! It said... well, it said Dragonborn." Serena assessed Loki's reaction to the word, a buzzing feeling filling her stomach as he neither cringed nor smiled. Instead, he lucidly nodded his head and continued walking.
