I noticed that Espresso looked sad
"Are you alright?" I asked
They looked at me and smiled
"Yeah, of course!" They said
"You sure?" I questioned
"Mhm"
'Doesn't seem like it'
I also noticed that they were so focused on hiding their arm
'Did they... No I don't think they did. Unless they did..'
"You know you can tell me anything, right?" I asked in a soothing voice
"Yeah" Espresso said
Their voice cracked a little
'Yeah they definitely aren't ok'

'I just need a shoulder to sob on.. But I don't want anyone to worry about me'
'These stupid cracks.. God I hate dragon hunters'
Madeleine hugged me, but I jumped a bit because it was so sudden
"Oh, I didn't mean to scare you" He said
"It's fine" I smiled
"I know you're not alright though.. I just want you to talk to me. I'll happily help you"
"I'm fine, sweets.."
"Promise?"
"I-"
'No no.. I can't promise. That'll make me feel like shit'
'I stand at a crossroads..'
"Fine.. I'm not alright" I sighed
"What's wrong?" He asked
I lifted up my sleeve and took off one of my gloves
Madeleine's eyes widened
"They're spreading and getting worse" I said
"There has to be some way to heal this.." Madeleine said
I started sobbing into Madeleine's chest
He comforted me
"I'll get you some bandages.. You probably just need some" He said
"Alright" I said
He got up and left
Eventually, he came back with bandages
He wrapped them around both of my arms
"Is there any cracks on your legs?" He asked
"I don't think so" I said
Then I rolled down my stockings
Both of my legs looked terrible
Me and Madeleine were pretty shocked
One of the cracks were pretty big
"Oh dear" Madeleine muttered
I took off my stockings, and he wrapped bandages around both of my legs
"I might need a healer.. Again" I said
Then I heard a notification from my phone
I grabbed it, and saw that Twizzly texted me

i just saw him take off on the airship
he came in
You know I have trust issues, so show proof

She sent a vid of Madeleine's father leaving on the airship (...😏)
"Alright, we can go now" I said
"Alright" Madeleine said
I put on my gloves and went to Pitaya's throne room to say bye

I waited for Espresso and Madeleine to come back since I figured out they went somewhere
'Good thing I got someone to shapeshift as me and take that airship back to the republic'
When I smelt the familiar coffee scent and madeleine said, I smirked
"He really left after one day.. I guess he was just looking for you" I heard Espresso say
"I'm really not surprised.. He wants to 'finish what he started'" I heard Madeleine say
"What do you mean.."
'Oh you'll find out..'
"You fools!" I said as I popped out from my hiding spot
