things already feel more normal.

sam and i have been back in california for 3 weeks

we haven't talked about us since the day i showed up at his place so i don't know what this means for us, he said he needed time and i respect that's all i know is i have my best friend back

after sam and i talked everything out in kansas we agreed the best thing to do was to make a post to the fans explaining we needed a few weeks off for personal reasons and a lot of them were totally understanding, we facetimed jake and corey and they suggested camping out in some haunted forest they found online for our first video back.

corey and i have been driving all around the city trying to get everything we'll need, SD cards, batteries, another flashlight because jake lost his somehow, and food

meanwhile jake and sam are at home gathering all our devices to charge all day in preparation for tonight

corey and i walk back inside the house struggling with our arms full of food and supplies expecting to be helped but instead hearing shouting

"jake! do you have the rem pod?"

"no, can't find it"

"you should know where it is!"

"you live here not me!" they both walk out of whatever rooms they were in and sam rolls his eyes and shakes his head as jake shrugs

"a little help here?!" corey screeches as he tries not to drop our lunch

sam and jake come running down the stairs chanting "FOOD! FOOD! FOOD!" children. i am friends with children.

"what'd you get us?"

"carry something and maybe we'll share with you" they do as corey says and practically sprint to the living room floor and begin to eat before we even get anything unpacked

"greedy pigs" i laugh as i sit down between corey and sam and begin to dig in before it's all gone

"are you guys excited to get back to filming haunted?" jake asks

"yeah" sam nods "definitely, we only stopped for such a short time but it's been weird to take a break at all"

"eat up! let's pack the car and get on the road, it's already three o'clock"
