"Niall," Zayn hummed, knocking on his bedroom door. They were ten now, in the fourth grade, and closer than ever.

"Yeah?" Niall asked, not turning around from his computer screen.

"Niall," Zayn called again, wanting his full attention, and Niall rolled his eyes and turned around.

A lot had changed in the last five years. Harry and Liam were in a serious relationship (Zayn figured that Liam was going to propose soon) and Zayn and Niall had grown up quite a bit. They still cuddled a lot, and slept in the same bed sometimes, but Zayn didn't really understood what it meant or where they stood.

"What's wrong?" Niall asked, getting up from his desk when he saw the weird look on Zayn's face.

"I just..." Zayn sighed, and then cupped Niall's face in his hands. Niall immediately angled his chin up towards Zayn, ready to be kissed, and yeah, that was enough of an answer for Zayn.

(Then he kissed him.)
