D- Everybody, it's time for a fact that's the top of the iceberg. And here's Burgess Meredith to explain it. Hi-ya, Burgess.

Bg- Hello, Deric; hello, everyone.

D- Alright. We heard this fact in our previous trivia book. Mickey Rooney and Spencer Tracey both declined playing the Penguin, so Burgess made the cut.

Bg- That's right.

D- Burgess, would you tell us why they declined the roles?

Bg- Gladly. I'm not sure why Mickey rejected being the Penguin, but Spencer said that he'd only play it if he could kill Batman.

D- And of course, we know why he didn't get casted now. 

Bg- Yes, because Batman never gets killed in the cliffhangers.
