A New Beginning

Chapter 15

It's been a week now since they found out Hayley is pregnant again. Elijah just got back from taking care of the Strix. They still haven't heard anything back from Kol and Ava. Hayley and Klaus decided to keep the pack in their territory and only a few who wished to were allowed to follow them to Steveston. They also made Cary the Beta so he was in charge of the pack members who chose to stay in the territory. Not to mention that since Hayley was pregnant again they wanted to stay in Steveston to have the baby. So for the pack members who joined them, Klaus has provided them with housing and Hayley will assign them tasks that she wants them to do.

"Have any of you heard from Kol or Ava yet," Hayley asked as she walked into the living room.

"Yes, Ava called this morning and said that she and Kol will be back this afternoon," Finn said.

"Oh okay, then when they get here we'll meet back in the living room."

After that everyone just continued to do what they normally do. A few hours later Kol and Ava arrived back at the house.

"There's good news and bad news, which one do you want first," Ava said nervously.

I have a bad feeling about this and I think it has to do with that bitch Aurora.

"Just start with the good news," Hayley said.

"The good news is we got rid of Tristan."

"And the bad news."

"That blood bitch Aurora got away," Kol said irritated.

"What," everyone said.

"How could you let that happen," Freya said.

"It wasn't our fault that psycho was already gone before we even got there."

"What do you mean," Elijah asked.

"By the time we reached the Monastery, all that we found was a bunch of dead monks and a note saying Goodbye for now," Ava said.

"I can't believe she escaped, who knows the kind of damage she can do and, knowing her history I'd say a lot," Hayley said in disbelief.

"Don't worry little wolf we'll find her and when we do she'll wish hadn't."

Two days later Hayley and Klaus were going to her scheduled appointment to see how the baby was doing. At the beginning of her pregnancy with Hope, they really didn't have time to see a doctor but when they moved to Steveston Hayley was able to visit the doctor more. Even though she knew Hope was fine and nothing bad was going to happen she still went. Also, it was nice to have pictures of Hope's ultrasounds.

"Everything is going to be fine, little wolf. There's no need to worry about this and besides this pregnancy should be easier compared to Hope's since you're a Hybrid now," Klaus said as she helped her get onto the doctor's table.

"I don't know, something feels different about this pregnancy. I didn't experience this much morning sickness when I was pregnant with Hope."

"Is it really that bad compared to before?"

"When it comes to morning sickness, yes it's bad but other than that it's not that bad. That's probably because I'm a Hybrid."

The doctor comes in and starts looking over Hayley's vitals. She then asked Hayley some questions about what she has been feeling lately during the pregnancy.

"Well, everything seems fine. Now, why don't you lay back so we can check on how the baby's doing and listen to the heartbeat," the doctor says as she starts setting up the ultrasound.

"That's a strong heartbeat, everything is looking good...," the doctor says before she stops when she sees something. "Well, that's weird".

"What's weird, is our baby okay," Hayley asked worriedly.
