Aurelia

The house was unusually chaotic when I was almost done with preparing dinner for the Costello family.

The noise seem to be coming from the sitting room so I went to take a peek.

The ex Don was agitated, pacing the room up and down while continuously staring at his phone.

Andrade was coming down from the stairs with luggages and he looked too serious to be reckoned.

Shannon was just sitting quietly, looking at her husband and then at Andrade with the luggage.

"The hotel has been booked, just have as much fun as possible."

"Won't you tell me what is going on?"
Ricardo was angry with the way he's letting his anger speak through his mouth.

I understand that feeling, being once in control and all of a sudden it's taken away from you when you still so much want to handle some things.

"Viturin made sure I didn't tell you. It's a one month paid vacation."

"I'm not going."
Ricardo stood adamant, making the calm Andrade scratch the back of his head.

"Please honey, it's best we just go. Remember I've always wanted a vacation like this one. And our son wants the best for us."

Shannon knows very well how to play her card. I could even melt down by the meekness if I was the one staring at her right now.

It easily softened Ricardo as he went to pick one of the luggage from Andrade.

"The Don just didn't want to bother you or put you both in a difficult situation because what happened might result to that."

Ricardo played all deaf to what Andrade was saying but instead helped his wife up on her feet and towards the door.

Andrade only sighed, took the rest of the luggage and followed suit behind them.

I retired back to my kitchen thinking of what the hell is going on.

Andrade looked more like he was forcing them to leave, and Shannon understood well what is going on.

There must be a fight, Viturin don't want his parents around because he's afraid they may get hurt, Andrade wanted to just speed the whole issue up so that he could go settle the rest of the issue.

I switched off the cooker, since no one will be here to eat there's no need to cook again. I rinsed my hands and made it to the door.

I should at least know what is happening in my environ.

When I made it to the sitting room I saw two servants quickly rushing to the door with their bags, I know one very well, he's the gardener.

"Excuse me."

They stopped to look at me. Only the gardener looked calm, the other was just agitated as shit. His eyes danced around unable to focus them on me and he was just so eager to leave.
