Can It Be Love (Smithers/Mr. Burns)

Smithers Pov:

I'm sitting at my desk trying to finish up some paperwork for mr. burns, when i hear him call me to his office.

Smithers: sir you called

Burns: yes i was wondering if you could get my lunch for me

Smithers: of course sir i'll be right back with it

Burns: thank you smithers

Mr. Burns is unusually nice today. I hope he's ok. He's not nice unless he's upset about something or he has an important meeting he's worried about. But as far as his schedule, i made, says he doesn't have anything like that, so I'm quite worried. I get his lunch from his personal fridge at the office and I walk back to him as fast as I can.

Smithers: i've got your lunch sir

Burns: oh thank you smithers

Smithers: well it is my job sir but your welcome

Burns: smithers before you go i was wondering if we could go out for dinner to night like together but not a date that's preposterous

Smithers: yes of course sir we can go out for dinner as not a date

Burns: excellent

My heart is in so much pain to know that mr burns will never love me i know i should give up but i just cant hes all ive ever wanted and even if he never loves me i need him in my life and i can't just give up on this now.

Mr. Burns Pov:

i t did hurt me to pretend i didint want this to be a date i do love my dear smithers but i just dont know how to feel about this gay thing i was raised it was wrong and a man should only ever love a woman but why cant a man love a man as another man would love a woman but i just dont know any more.

That Evening

Smithers: sir i believe it's time to go home

Burns: wonderful but i thought we were going out tonight

Smithers: oh yes of course where would you like to go

Burns: shall we just go to the Gilded Truffle

Smithers: alright then sir are you ready to go then

Burns: yes i'm ready

Smithers Pov:

We arrive at the gilded truffle and get seated. Were in a back room because of Mr Burns' status. We come here every so often but most of the time it's for business meetings; We rarely come just because. I always get the same thing, a simple black truffle steak, ok maybe it's not that simple but it is at the same time. Mr Burns gets one of two things a black truffle pasta, which is just pasta with truffle butter and oil, topped with more truffles, or he'll get a black truffle salad,I don't remember what all is in that though.

Burns: smithers are you getting the truffle steak again

Smithers: um yes sir

Burns: since you get it all the time i think i'm going to try that tonight

Smithers: oh well i think you'll enjoy it or at least i hope you will

Burns: Of course I'll enjoy it, you have good taste. I know I'll enjoy it.

Our food comes and he looks pleasantly surprised as he takes his first bite.

Burns: oh smithers this is delicious i should have tried this ages ago

Smithers: Well, I'm glad you like it.

Burns: like it i love it

We finish our food and pay our bill. I drove to his house and helped him in. i help him get ready for bed.

Burns: smithers i want to ask you something

Smithers: yeah sure what is it

Burns: i have been thinking about love

Smithers: a dangerous game

Burns: well i think im in love again but im not sure if its right like is it wrong to love... a man

Smithers: i dont believe i was expecting that but it depends on who you talk to on the matter but to me i think love kows no rules and it just is or in simpler terms no matter who you love its not wrong to love

Burns: so its ok to love a man

Smithers: yes that's one perspective

Burns: there's another perspective that i believe i already know but i like the idea of love is love it knows no rules

Smithers: as you were saying about possibly being in love with a man would i know them

Burns: well yes i believe you would qute well in fact

Smithers: oh is ir philip

Burns: no its not philip its someone youd know better personally

Smithers: i dont know sir could you tell me please

Burns: very well its you waylon

Smithers: mme but i thought you would ever like me back

Burns: love you back. wait back smithers...

Smithers: yes sir i love you too i have been in love with you for a long long time.

Burns: so you truly do understand the struggles of loving another man

Smithers: i guess so yes i do understand

Burns: well im old and i don't want to wait for love any longer so smithers will you be my lover or i believe a modern way of saying this would be will you be my boyfriend

Smithers: oh my this is happening so fast but yes yes i will.

Burns: then stay with me tonight

Smithers: of course i'll stay sir

Burns: waylon your now my lover you dont have to call me sir unless were at work but right now we aren't so call me monty

Smithers: of course then monty

Third person Pov:

The set in bed and burns is cuddled up in Smithers chest and Smithers has his arms wrapped around the love of his life Mr. burns. They fall asleep together only starting their journey of love together.
