CHAPTER 3: Pleasant chat

Rimuru POV

" It would be my honor" I answered Velzards question and started walking back to the city

' Shuna, Haruna' I called for the two of my subordinates that I trust the most to prepare tea and maybe some snacks for lady Velzard and me

' Yes, Rimuru-sama'  they answered in unison. Their voices were respectful which annoyed me a little. I am glad that they respect me, but if it stays this way then I will never have a friend in my very own town

' I am going back with a friend, can you please prepare us some tea and snacks. Oh, and can you make sure that nobody bothers us while we are there?'

' Understood, lord Rimuru' with this the thought communication was cut off

While we were walking I noticed that Velzard-san was looking around the forest with admiration

" Isn't the forest beautiful?" I asked while looking back at her. She looked at me with curious eyes, trying to read the intentions behind my words

A couple of more seconds passed with her looking at me puzzled until she brought her attention back to the forest

Her eyes wandered around, taking note of everything surrounding her. There were flowers in all colors you can imagine, besides the flowers, the vegetation was also impressive, there were tall, and short trees, exotic herbs, and grass that even though it was wild, looked neat and proper

The fauna of this part of the forest consisted of many harmless bugs, some occasional rabbit or deer, and what caught Velzard-sans attention the most, butterflies

" It sure is" She said with a subtle smile on her face. Maybe it was just my eyes playing tricks on me, but at that very moment the sunlight engrossed her face

Another couple of minutes passed in silence that wasn't necessarily unpleasant, it was more of the relaxing kind

" Ummm, how should I address you?" I asked since I didn't want to come out rude or insult her if I call her Velzard-san 

" Velzard is fine" She said while not looking at me, her head was turned slightly to the side

' Why is she not looking at me, did I do something?'

《 Notice: Individual Velzard is currently blushing 》

' ? '

' What is Raphael even talking about'

" Ah I can't do that but... is Velzard-san okay?" I also started blushing at that moment

' Nooo! Calm down Rimuru, you can't let her see you like this'

" It's fine" her answer came with slight hesitation

' Maybe she doesn't like it after all'

《 master is an idiot》

' What was that?'

《 Nothing, it's just your imagination》

' If you say so'

I swear that she said something... but it's useless to argue with Raphael-sensei, I am never going to win

We spent the rest of the way back in silence, with occasional comments about this and that

On our way back I couldn't help but admire Velzards beauty. I mean seriously, it should be illegal to be THAT beautiful

It wasn't windy but her hair still swayed gently in the occasional breeze

There were times were our eyes would meet but she would just look away
