TENSURA: When void froze

CHAPTER 5

Rimuru POV

" It's beautiful" I said passionately as I was thinking about all the lives that are sleeping peacefully just under this cliff

" It sure is..." Velzard-san said in a soft voice

Her voice was like music to my ears. It was soft, warm, and soothing. Even in the time of the biggest distress, it would be able to calm me down

I couldn't hold back my urges anymore so I looked at her, hoping that she wouldn't notice me

But to my surprise, she was also looking at me

Her icy blue eyes locked with mine. They were so vibrant that someone might believe that they are a completely independent being

Her snowy white hair was dancing in the rhythm of the light breeze

I also notice a slight blush on her cheeks. That lone slight blush looked so natural and beautiful on her milky skin, that it alone made my unexisting heart skip a beat

' Is she sick?' I wondered

《 Answer: True Dragons can not get sick 》

Raphael-sensei was, as always, fast with answering my question

' But then why is she blushing?' I couldn't help but wonder at this moment

' Is should ask her, just to make sure that she is fine...'

" Velzard-sa..." but I never got to finish my sentence

I felt a warm and soft sensation press against my lips. It took me a moment to realize what was happening

Velzard-san kissed me

Her lips tasted like freshly made honey strawberries, their sweetness was simply out of this world

' Eh'

The kiss itself didn't last for more than a couple of moments, but it was still enough for it to be eternally engraved in my memory

Not so long after, our lips parted

I looked at Velzard-sans face and saw that she was blushing really hard. Her eyes were a little teary but they, along with her lips, were smiling

" I... like you" She muttered softly

' Eh, is she... joking with me?'

' I see... so that means that... it's mutual' I felt a sudden urge of happiness rush through my body as I thought that

" I... I like you too Velzard-san... no Velzard" I said with the brightest smile I had in both of my life's

Next morning, I woke up more excited than I was ever before. After all, today is my first day of dating Velzard and our very first date!

I don't think that there are words to explain how happy I am

Huh, we know each other only for a day, you say? We should have gotten to know each other better, you say?

I got out of my bed and went to the kitchen to prepare something for us to eat on the picnic

I left a note in my office last night that I will be busy today and that they should call me if something urgent or necessarily needs my attention happen
