" Charybdis has appeared " Souei said in a surprisingly calm voice
' Charybdis? ' I asked Ciel, my newly evolved trusty partner
« Charybdis is a powerful monster created by Veldoras magicules. It appears that someone used its core on one of the Lychantropes to revive it»
' I see... Can I beat it as I am now though? ' I asked, a little afraid about the strength of Charybdis, considering just how powerful individuals have recently been visiting our humble but flourishing town
« There will be no problems» Ciel assured me
" I see, then I will go and deal with it, you guys evacuate and protect citizens" I told Souei and prepared to leave
Just as I was about to leave, I felt a familiar presence next to me. Looking to my right, I spotted a peerless beauty looking at me with puppy eyes, as if begging me to let her go with me
" Haaa... Fine, you can come with me" I said and then turned toward my sworn friend and future brother in law " Veldora you come with me as well, Charybdis is your spawn after all"
It looked like he wanted to say something, but one sharper look from Velz was enough to make him keep his words to himself
' Ciel' I thought and without even needing to explain what I wanted, a teleportation circle formed below us and we were teleported to where our fearsome enemy is
Honestly, the feeling of traveling through warped space is something that I will never get used to. It's not like I am feeling nauseous, but it's just a weird feeling that is hard to comprehend
Looking up, I saw a giant fish-like creature with wings and one eye. Its exoskeleton was varying from dark and ocean blue all the way to such a light shade of blue that it looks as if it was grey
The sheer size of the enemy could instill fear into the bones of its enemies, but for some weird reason, I didn't feel anything when looking at it. Maybe that's because I could sense its magicules, and their quantity was way below mine
" Okay guys, I will take care of it no..." I looked at Velz and Veldora and was left in shock. For some reason, Diablo was already there. He set up a table for the two to sit, and now was pouring them tea
' When did this happen? ' I wondered but decided not to ask, knowing that I would probably be met with Diablo's long speech about how great I am or something. It's not that I hate his compliments but... it's embarrassing, at least for me to listen
Moving my attention from the two siblings casually relaxing behind me, I faced my mindless opponent. As if he was waiting for me to face him, the moment our eyes met his scales separated from his back and started attacking me
' Uriel! '
With my newly gained Ultimate Skill, Lord of vows " Uriel", I created an absolute barrier around me and Charybdis, just to make sure no harm falls on my people or territory
Pulling the black sword out of my stomach and reinforcing it with black flames, started slashing and cutting down the projectiles fired at me. As if they have a mind of their own, the projectiles slowly started avoiding my attacks, getting used to my slashes
Even so, that wasn't enough to discourage me. Boosting my thought acceleration, which has gotten even stronger with Ciels evolution, to the maximum, I was able to cut every single one of them before they and Charybdis could even react
Furious at my previous actions, Charybdis fired a powerful beam at me. I observed in slow motion as it approached me, and just as it came closer and I was about to counter it, Ciel made her move
